Logging into this forum every day isn’t good for my bank account. I see shit on here each time I log in and add it to my future mod list.

@Dfeeds said it well. After a break from the car scene and coming from the Fox Bodies into this car I was amazed at its performance. As I got acclimated to the car it began to feel “normal”. My goal has always been 850whp so I’ll plug away until I get there. I’d like to say I’d be satisfied with that but who knows.

I too am going for that 850whp number, just to be part of the 1000hp club. I’m 748 approx at the flywheel now, 635 to the pavement, and thinking back to my pushrod days, it’s ludicrous to even think about the power we’re blessed with now. And it’s streetable. Drives like stock until you get on it. Unbelievable.

Exactly. Shoot I’m still stock but the hp mods will begin after i Install all my BMR stuff to keep the back end grounded.

Some old friends and I were together for the first time since we all had 87-93 5.0’s and were marveling at the same thing; how these modern HP numbers have sky rocketed compared to what we had before. I remember when I put a blower on one of my old cars and cracked the 400hp plateau I thought I was the king of the streets lol

That’s exactly why I thought I wouldn’t need to do any performance mods, because my 95 with the Kenne Bell was in that low 400hp neighborhood, so I figured I was all set.

Nope. Happy with my car as-is because I bought it with everything I wanted. The A10/PP1/MR/Active Exhaust is absolutely insane in drag mode on the street.

Anyway, if I want big torque at low revs, I’ll drive the Bentley— 400hp, 620tq, 4500 rpm redline

Car felt fast as F in the beginning, Now it feels disappointingly slow. I blame testosterone.

I'm surprised at how normal it feels to me now. It felt Insane the first full throttle at 4k RPM in second gear. I actually like how it builds so smoothly, but it doesn't feel shocking like it did. I call it my "honda V8". It's the evolution of the V6 in my acura 3.2 CL. Basically twice the power at any point, but it really doesn't feel like it's twice as fast, but i look down and i'm at 90 and it feels like 60. The s550 platform hides the speed IMO.

Of course it shouldn't feel "twice as fast". For every HP, it feels less and less substantial. 100 to 200 HP feels a lot more drastic than 200 to 400, IMO.

Good point... today on the way home, after not driving for about a month, I looked down and was doing 95. I do 95 in my truck and I’m nervous. I’d do 95 in a Fox Body and it rattled itself crazy lol

I'd imagine the percentage modded of either is a lot lower than you think. I'd bet 90% or more are left stock. Most people buy a car and drive it.

Just look at all the used mustangs for sale. Almost all of them are modded in some way. I am not just talking about engine mods.

I’m still pretty happy with the performance of a gen3 a10 on a straight corn tune. Since I went with the 300a package the car was tuned @ 250 miles. Future plans include a Procharger X unit, but I’m honestly in no hurry to dump 8k.

It starts when you realize that Ford left some easy low-hanging fruit . . . the car could have been better, so let's put it where it should have been. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Can't help but tug at my ear or scratch my neck when looking at all the mods you guys do. Very addicted and because I'm traveling for work and stuck with a rental, it's driving me crazy. That and the anticipation of my order actually beating me home lol.
