  1. Limp Mode & RTD Device Questions

Ok will do, thanks. I appreciate it. I'm thinking its TB related for sure since I didn't have any codes pop up. I'll also look deeper at the HPT site tonight. I have the scanner downloaded, or so I thought, but the one that comes up for me didn't show the option to read the car.
  2. Limp Mode & RTD Device Questions

Thank you for the info! I thought it originally was o2 sensor related since I'd just put the headers and then thought about bad gas, but I'd driven long enough that morning since my fill up (30 miles) that I figured if it was bad gas it would've hit me sooner. I did go by AutoZone to check...
  3. Limp Mode & RTD Device Questions

This morning while driving to the gym my car (2019 GT NA) went into limp mode. I was not driving it hard and when the “see manual” message and wrench popped up I was not even going 5mph. I have a six speed and was in neutral coasting down an on ramp and put it in first gear to start speeding up...
  4. Front License Lawbreaker!

Yessir - they exist to sit and write tickets. Them and DPS are usually the only ones who care about front plates. HPD couldn't care less...unless they need a reason to pull you over. Between no plate, 5% tint, tinted rear lights and soon to be catless headers I'm a cops dream lol. But i don't...
  5. Front License Lawbreaker!

Also a TX resident here and when I bought mine I told the dealer I wouldn't buy it if they installed the plate holder. I hate that we have to run one. But...I don't. I had a sto-n-show but I bent it on a driveway with a dip. So I removed it and I keep it in my trunk. So if I do get popped then...
  6. Front end clunking

I'd imagine that what you're hearing is drivetrain slack. These cars can get clunky once you start strengthening parts of the drivetrain and others haven't been braced. For example mine is kinda clunky because I have the rear diff bushings and also UPR adjustable motor mounts. So because I...
  7. The Life of Daily Driving a 5.0

I don't daily mine - but when I drive it usually the ones who buck up and want some action are V6 Chargers, pick up trucks and other Mustangs.
  8. Insurance Premiums

For just the Mustang I am at about $1500 annually. But I live in Houston and the rates here are stupid high. And because I live in the land of uninsured and dumbass drivers I carry higher than normal coverage. I'm 41 btw.
  9. Favorite ONE mod that you have done.

Getting rid of the wheel hop issue. Its technically more than one mod but eliminating that was numero uno when I got the car. It made a night and day difference as most of you know.
  10. Guess kids never change....

back in the day we'd always buy some from the fella standing in the middle of the road selling to the people leaving the stadium after games. Brown bagged and with mustard packets.
  11. Guess kids never change....

My sister is a senior in college now and a lot of her friends are like that too. They either have no interest in getting a license or wait til its absolutely necessary to have one.
  12. Guess kids never change....

Yep! We have the Bucee's down here in TX but I miss my Wawa's from back home
  13. Guess kids never change....

Mmmm Wawa...how I miss it so. I think I would do some questionable things for a pretzel and diet lemon tea right now lol
  14. BMR's "CB005" S550 IRS Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit - PICS & INFO!

yessir my cradle was off when we did this. Once we put it back on the lift to do the RLCA bearings and the 762 kit we realized the thing was off a bit. It went flush once we fiddled with it some more. The 762 kit really helped. Im almost two year in to this install and love it. The car rides...
  15. MT-82 Second Gear Grind/Pop-Out

That sounds about right as far as lead times go. Supply chain interruptions are still wreaking havoc. Hopefully they’ll get to you quickly. Not sure where you’re located but if there are other dealers close by it may be worthwhile to check with them too. Maybe they’d be able to get you in...
  16. MT-82 Second Gear Grind/Pop-Out

Sorry for the late reply! I haven’t logged in in awhile. yes mine was fixed under warranty without issue. I didn’t push for payment reimbursement because I wasn’t without the car for long enough. The dealer and Ford did well by me. When mine blew it was in the middle of a huge backlog of...
  17. How many people here became their own Mustang mechanics?

I used to do most of my work on my Fox Body cars with the exception of a few things. I won't do rear end gears nor will I mess with electrical stuff. Those cars were relatively easy to work on. The s550 platform is challenging to me because I am not used to them. Everything being computerized...
  18. Fun thread - How manual manual drivers reach for stick or clutch in an auto?

My daily driver is an F150 FX4 on occasion I will; when coming to a quick stop put my left foot down fast like I need to clutch in when hitting the brake sitting at a stop light reach down for the clutch hop in and go to hit a push start button - but the truck isn’t push start
  19. The Succesor to MMFF

MM&FF was a staple of my childhood. Mixed in with all the baseball and football mags was MM&FF. I couldn’t wait for the new edition to come out. They used to sponsor the MM&FF weekends too. My friends and I would hit them up regularly. Quality racing, vendors all over and a swap meet.
  20. Do you hide your car part purchases or make them sound less then they are?

Nope. We have a joint account for household bills and separate accounts for everything else. But mine isn’t into cars so I could buy a Whipple and tell her it cost $500 and she wouldn’t know that I was about $8500 on the low side.
