Hey tony-

I sold the car, traded it in for a Gen 3, F150 Raptor =)

If you're going to ditch an S550 Mustang, that's a good one to go to. 👍🇺🇲

Thanks pal. Appreciate it. I def see myself baxk in a s550 mustang 1 day soon. But for now, truck is it. Funny thing is on Raptor they give u a leather wrapped and heated lol GT350 steering wheel. They shouldve did same on stangs. Stupid. This truck also has our stang drive, steering and suspension modes w my mode in R button.

Very nice. Just in time for the snow. Always wanted a Raptor. That steering wheel is sweet. Not Alcantara, that's probably why they can heat it.

A: Many of the numbers on there are clearly bullshit guesses. Or on-track maxes.

B: "euro GPF" means absolutely nothing to me and most people here. So whatever point you were tying to make was missed.

C: The "discoloring" could have nothing to do with extreme temperatures, and everything to do with whatever got on the exhaust at one point or another. Like washing soaps, spray-on waxes, road-crap, etc.
i could measure exhaust gas temp at the tip with an arduino thermocouple setup if anyone really cared. the best i could do is a 5 mile curvy road with a lot of acceleration.

Every Mustang AE exhaust I’ve ever heard makes a metallic clicking noise when changing through different modes. Without the engine on cycle between quiet and Normal and you will hear it.

Anybody successfully lubricated the valve (where at and what lubricant?) or done anything to quiet it? Mine is making a ton of noise on LH side.

Wd40 may help a little but it’s probably better to look and see if the spring is seated properly first

I will take the actuator off to see, but I assume the valve wouldn't move properly if it was not seated. Leaning towards adding some brake lube between the spring and valve seat. Just wondering if anybody has successfully done anything about it.

If the video is your valves they are absolutely fine…
They all sound like. You won’t need to remove the actuators.
I would just spray some wd40 inside the valve where the pins meet at the top and bottom of the valve. Obviously don’t start the car straight away.

but honestly your exhaust sounds perfectly normal

I mean it isn’t a huge deal, but if there’s something I can do to quiet it down I want to try.
