You have a few options/outcomes:

1) All the available power bolts-ons and accept high 300's-low 400's RWHP.
I thought the 5.0 was putting down around 380 stock. If so, I'd sure hope all the available bolt-ons would get you higher than stock.

I was thinking gt350 IM, throttle body, cai, full exhaust, opg, and canned tune with 7500 to 8000 rpm redline would put you north of 500 crank hp and mid 400 wheel hp.

I seem to recall seeing a full bolt-on car making around 460 to 470 at the rear wheels. Then to make the last jump to 500, you need cams, e85, and custom tune.

I'd think 500 crank hp and a 7500 rpm redline on a PP car with 3.73 gears would be an awesome autoX car. That's my current goal.

This is correct most manual 15-17s make 380whp or so stock and all those mods you listed 445-460whp on 93 and up to 475whp on E85.

I made 490whp pulling in 4th gear on 93 octane. Due to the gearing we haven't been able to pull 5th (1:1), since it would overspeed the dyno. Once we switch to ethanol and swap gears, I'm sure that number will come up.

My list is a bit more extensive than what the OP is looking at, but it'll easily clear 500 whp NA.

- CJ intake
- Ford Racing TB (twin 65mm)
- injectors (ID1k, overkill for most)
- 1 7/8" Long tube headers, 3" catback.
- OPG and crank gear
- MMR Stage 2 cams (Comp)
- VCT lockout
- B302 timing chains and tensioners
- ARP Hardware.

I have it redlining at 9k rpm, and peak power is at 8,600 RPM. I figure the car will make mid to high 500's once we get the remainder of the things sorted.

how is this not well known yet. JPC built a car making over 575whp in a boss 302 NA. Made almost 600whp NA on race gas.

500whp is very doable with bolt ons and e85.

I feel like most people have not addressed COST.

I know for a fact JPC has done a 575+ whp NA coyote but at what cost?

Video of that Boss is on youtube and on the JPCRacing Facebook page.

I will try find the videos here tonight.

Why the stage 2 over stage 3 cams? Just curious because I'm going to go that route eventually

HUH? its making 75-100whp more than the 500whp is asking for.

Point im trying to make is 500whp NA is very doable but im sure its on at least e85 not pump gas to reach 500whp for a daily setup.

I think a full bolt on cj setup with comp stage 3's will get you 480-490whp on 93 with safe but somewhat aggressive tune. I would run 3" high flow cats with rear o2 spacers to get through emissions. We will need better cam offerings and or headwork to break into the 500whp range on 93. I do think it can be done on e85 though. Or find a really happy dyno. Lol

Yes making power doesn't mean you can drive it worth a crap on the street. Most of the 5.0 crazy NA builds have the cams locked and make horrible low end power which makes it very hard to drive on the street.
