Have any of you done your own oil change and found that the level does not go to the top hole with 10qts? I have changed my oil personally the last two oil changes and both times I carefully poured 10qts in and the level only goes half way between the holes in the hash marks on the stick. I...
I had a couple scary step outs with the summer P-zero's on my 15 PP. They aren't meant for colder weather and I found them to be sometimes dangerous if you aren't really careful when its below 50*. They were pretty good in actual hot weather, just terrible in cold weather. I haven't had nearly...
My advice would be to take off that intake spacer. I don't believe they have ever been proven to make any power and it may be throwing something off. After a battery reset there is some learning related to fine trim of air fuels but I have never experienced any power loss or laziness from it...
I have 10k today on the 18 I got in March. A/C works great (it is a base), the trans does not whine badly and shifts fine. I have had it hit the rev limit when shifting automatically in S twice. I have an audible rattle/tick only when passing by something with the window down when cold. Once...
You may want to try a crank relearn. I got codes but no actually running issue on my 15 when I switched the clutch and flywheel and did not perform a relearn. As soon as I did the relearn everything was back to normal.
I originally used a res delete h pipe on mine with stock everything else and it sounded terrible. A bit too loud and raspy for me. I then put on the magnaflow resonated x and loved the tone. It took most of the rasp out and sounded deeper. The only problem was it was too close to stock for the...
If you're on the flex tune, switch back to 93 then load your stock tune. If it is still happening on 93 with stock tune, then look into repair. I have Jon on my tunes.
I have had a Lund tune for 93 only, Flex, and e85 race and all of them have idled perfectly. Its been tuned for about 8k miles most of which has been on e85.
I would say keep it if its not a financial hardship. I went through the same thing a while back. I had an 01 GT that I had sunk over 40k into. Custom paint, bodywork, interior, sound system, built teksid motor, supercharged with meth injection. Bad ass car that would win drag races or shows...
I am tuned and I usually use D for daily commuting so I believe it was in D when this occurred for me. The slight rev before lock up has only happened maybe twice in 10k miles but the loose lock up when cold is often but brief once a little warm up occurs.
I'm pretty sure that the TSB referred to a certain batch of faulty shift forks that were made. Not all of them and since then the issue was corrected. It wasn't just that they were made of aluminum but that there was a casting issue with a certain batch. If the problem was that serious it would...
Mine does this every once in a while as well. Only when cold. I have also noticed that it tends to slip more when cold until it warms up. In the morning I try and get out of my neighborhood as quickly and quietly as possible (before 6am) but this makes it hard when I can't get up the hill at...
What they said. No running issue but the sensors are not expensive, easy to install when putting on tires, and easy to program. Very worthwhile to have live pressure data when track racing.
E85 itself is not corrosive, that is a misconception. It is however hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture. Water build up in the fuel is what will cause havoc. If your car sits for long periods of time or you store e85 for a long time that is where issues can arise. If you drive your car...
