Actually, it's people who buy these products and continue to support the companies doing this that led us to here. The solution isn't to pull a plug, it's to let products with these features stagnate on the lot unsold.

I see from your profile pic you are supporting these choices just fine, like the rest of us here with modern cars.

In cars it should have started and ended with OnStar 30 years ago if we the people were so upset about it.

People buy what they want including those convenient connected vehicle features.

The cars stagnating on the lot are the ones without these features that people want.

To your point, I don’t plan on buying any new cars, between my now modemless 2018 F150 and my modemless GT500, and my 65 Fastback, I’m set.

I hope you are quite old then as otherwise you will be walking at some point.

Yep, the surveillance state is here. Between the flock cameras, the kill switch and lots of other crap, it’s too much. All under the guise of “safety”.

The technology has been there for some time - how you use it is important.

You live in a democracy - these things only happen when most people want them, that is your control.
