The 16 GT Premium that got totaled has been replaced already but it looks like I will get rid of my other car and order a 17 GT Premium. My previous ride had stock 3.31 gears but I think I want to go with a 3.55 or 3.73 and need some input from the knowledgeable folks as to which is the best set up for all around performance? Don't see much regarding the 3.55's but I'm thinking they are a good choice.
You don't really get a gear choice. You either pick a PP car which comes with 3.73 gearing only or non-PP and choose 3.31 or 3.55 (or 3.15 if auto).

I've had both 331 and 373. 331 fine, 373 to short. If i had to do it again i'd choose 3.55. But the performance pack is a must for the money (so 3.73)

3.73 is not least ideal with a stock redline. Shifting at 7500+ with 3.73s makes the most sense but that requires mods. I'd lean towards another 3.31 car or 3.55s.

I have the 3.73 because I went with the PP. It's a bit short but have no issues at all driving it daily and don't care to change it. If I had the option though I would've gone with the 3.55 for a DD.

Also keep in mind the 3.73s in the PP have a TORSEN differential.

A gear swap is relatively cheap (the R&P itself is only ~$175) vs. the all the goodies in the Perf Package - unless you're averse to wanting to get into that kind of change due to cost, warranty, etc., (which I totally understand) - but that assumes you'd _want_ to change.

I love the 3.73s :)

3.73 all the way. Wouldn't have it any other way

For a street/strip car, go with the 3.73's. My last GT 5.0L / MT82 (an '11) worked well with 3.73's and I ended up swapping for 4.56's as I typically like more gear. 4.56's were too much, while the 3.73's weren't enough, in my opinion.

I love 4.10's in my 5.0L / 6R80 auto, despite many preferring 3.15's or 3.31's with the auto.

Again, just my thoughts for a street/strip car. For daily drivers, dial it down a notch.

3.73s. At freeway speeds it loafs along at 23-2400 revs, gets good mileage and is a good ride. And when you want to go, there is no better gear for that. I just don't see a downside.

I enjoy having the 3.73s and I daily mine. Mostly interstate/freeway driving and it works great for me.

Yep.

I have 3.73 too, and while they're fun. I'd rather 3.55.

Auto or Manual, you can get 3.55 and I think it give its more kick, but is still reasonable for daily driving and better MPG on the highway.

My favorite 2017 car / combinations:

Lightning blue GT Performance Pack
or
Ruby Red with Cali Package (add 3.55 gears and you get some added "Performance")

If you are going to stay N/A GO with the 3.73. It will be a better street gear. The car tuned can rev to 7,200 to 7,500 letting you run the 1/4th or 1/8th easily. If you go with a supercharger or turbo, leave the 3.31. My my 2013 Mustang GT dipped into the 10's with full bolt-ons, Boss 302 intake, and 3.90 gears.

I think the 3.55 is the perfect middle ground. I have 3.73s in my PP and its nice from time to time playing around but for a daily I would rather the 3.55, especially if you ever plan on using a blower.

N/A - Non drag car, 3.73s. I love when I have this car in the twists. Every gear you toss it in, you are in the powerband. It's the PERFECT gear set for the manual plus you get the Torsen diff. I don't commute mine everyday but when I do decide to drive it to work (around 100 miles RT) I was pulling around 18mpg. With E85 I don't even track it lol. So it's probably not what you want for a DD. It's very satisfying downshifting and banging the gears in the PP. Like stated though, if you ever plan on going FI or you want a drag car just avoid the M6 all together or you will regret it later.
