Why cant you get both on your build, I thought the 3.55's were $495 ? That's how much mine were in 2017.

301A vs 3.55's. Get the 301A then throw whatever gear you want into it.

I believe he said he could not find one on a lot nearby that had both, and I don't think he wants to order one.

yeah thanks for clearin that up. I’m trying to get a leftover 19 for a good deal and there are so few 301A cars and so few 3.55s, and none with both

I rarely see 301A cars in dealer inventory. They're either 300A, 400A, or 401A.

I believe it was mentioned already that you can not add drag mode to a 300A, you can add in everything else but not drag mode. Same goes for a 400A vs a 401A.

So given that bit of info it seems your only option is to buy a 301A or 401A car and swap in the gears you want.
Through a tune you can add drag mode to 300a car. I added mine after returning from the dealership with SCT device via custom tune. fyi

I got very lucky and found base '19 GT with the 301A (but it did have the A10 as well, so not sure if that is considered a true base or not?). Wasn't my favorite color, but pickin's were slim.

301A option for sure. Do the gears later. 301A gives you so much more than a base model. You don't always get NAV with this option (that's an extra cost) but you can use Android Auto or Apple car play for nav. You need those drive mode toggles I tell you. Plus you get mycolor ambient lighting effects with the 301A which is nearly impossible to install after the fact.

Both of the 2018s that I've had have been 300A cars. Get at least the 301A. The extra features would be so nice to have

301A. It’s a lot of really usable features that would be hard to put in aftermarket. Makes the interior look twice as nice, too.

3.55 gears hardly feel any different to me (I have them in my GT/CS), but even if they were a big jump from the standard GT gearing, it’s cheaper and easier to swap gears than to install a touchscreen, 9-speaker system, drive modes, My Color, and dual climate control.
This is really good advice!

As stated many times do the 301a over 3.55 gears. Good luck.
thanks bud I appreciate it, definitely gonna go 301A.

On another note, I have never heard of doing a tune on car and the warranty isn’t voided so I’ll have to look into this. Thought it flagged td4
