Finally installed the 18 IM with lockouts. Used a different coupler for the PMAS. The PMAS seems to be in the same position as before so no issues at all with fitment, it was always tight.
As for driveability and low end torque, while driving the same as usual the car honestly feels even more...
If you use a cover over your PMAS air filter, which do you recommend? The purpose is to keep water from going into the air filter through the driver hood vent during heavy rainfall.
Since you already have one, I wouldn’t spend another $300+. You could get it and sell the JLT but you’ll still be losing money for less than 10hp gain NA.
For PMAS, I confirmed with them that you need their coupler to fit the 18 mani. There are still ppl running it without the coupler but they’ve said it’s a very tight fit.
Based on some responses it seems that even with the plugNplay connectors, some just get codes and run funky for no apparent reason. Then they switch to lockouts and it’s completely fine. I’ll reach back out to Lund on this because maybe in the past month they’ve realized it’s lockouts or bust
What’s extremely annoying is Lund, Hellhorse, and Beefcake all told me the harness is the way to go. Lund told me it’s the easiest and if I’m going to be NA just go “plug and play”. I guess I’m gonna get the lockouts because I can’t risk the car being down, I daily it. I really don’t get why...
18 mani has been sitting and I’m a bit hesitant with all the codes and stuff ppl are getting with the pigtails. Read all 90+ pages and seems like the lockouts don’t have issues.
I have the HellhorsePerformance “plug and play” kit- 2 pigtails w/ connectors at the ends. Is anybody running these...
Im 99% sure too because I think that’s the main reason I went with Lund. I’m not defending them on what appears to be a policy change. Do we know 100%? I.E. is it documented somewhere?
I read their site. Looks like you get 3 months of free revisions when you get the first tune. After that it is $50 per 3 month window of free revisions. The date on their site is May 10th 2018.
I’m pretty sure it’s that. I had the same issue and adjusted my seat to where, without moving my ass from the seat whatsoever, I could fully compress the clutch. No more uncomfortable lower back feeling.
My friend was complaining about backpain too. I sat in his car (he’s about 3 inches...
Is the car a manual? If so, try to position the seat to where when you fully press in the clutch your butt isn’t moving forward or up off the back of the seat at all while sitting up straight. Might be doing that without knowing it- I was.
That’s odd. Didn’t have any issues with my Lund/PMAS, but I did do a few logs and revisions to make sure with them.
If you’re having issues and the tune isn’t to your liking they likely will revise it without charge. I don’t think they’d make you pay because you aren’t actually adding new...
