Many thanks again, Dragoon! So helpful. Thatās an awesome picture of your car up on the lift. Love your ride!Hey Dtg33, in my earlier response, i had just sheet 1 of 2 shown of the PDI form. For some reason I canāt locate sheet 2 of 2 ? But, I have a copy of the Q/A from Ford concerning HP questions. I didnāt see the HP in your sig but the info contained in this letter to dealers has some info that you could follow up on before your delivery and/or have more information which is enlightening since most dealers donāt realize we can get our hands on this stuff.

Honesty really depends on what you want to accomplish. Ceramic is essentially just an extra durable clear coat on top of the paint. Itās still going to wear like clear coat in that sense, as in it will still get scratches and swirls, and will do basically nothing to protect against rock chips, debris, etc. It does help to make overall cleaning and regular maintenance easier though, which is nice. Ppf obviously is more protective and can help prevent more damage from rocks, and when it gets worn enough itās easy to replace and look as good as new. More expensive, but the value depends on what you want. Personally, I donāt really get the hype of ceramic when there are so many products available to treat your car yourself and get great results, I just would never pay for it, but if youāre not into doing stuff like that it may make sense. Plus many people are very happy with the results, so itās really preference. If I were choosing one, I would spend the money on ppf just because I HATE getting rock chips, and if I could prevent some I would. Regarding the hood stripe, others can confirm, but I believe FJG is the only color you can put ppf on the stripe because it is a smooth texture, whereas the decals on all the other colors have a rough texture. It will get air bubbles underneath and not look good, and the stripe potentially could be damaged when removing the film. So I would say cutting around the stripe and leaving it exposed, or maybe just doing ceramic on that stripe might be the best option.Does anyone have any recommendations regarding ppf v ceramic? I am picking up my Oxford White M1 on Thursday and likely will do either PPF on the front or ceramic on the whole thing. I really donāt want to/canāt drop $3k to do both. Any recommendations on this?
Also, any recommendations regarding the hood stripe? The PPF installers here in Dallas are saying that they can either 1) install PPF over the decal resulting in a āsmallā air gap at the edges or 2) cut the PPF film at the edge of the hood stripe.
many recommendations would be highly appreciated! Thanks!
