yeah I completely forgot. So July-August. When is the cutoff for HP due to "tires", October?
I think November.

for everyone hoping their order gets built I would do some soul searching asap. If I was in your shoes I would be aggressively calling every ford dealer in the country to find one on the lot or actually in transit and trying to make a deal. I think we are going to be looking at some large numbers of cancelled orders again this year. And unlike ā€˜21 it won’t be as simple as reordering next year

Ordered my 22 Oct 19th, 2021 so I'm not worried I won't get mine.

So pretty much anyone still unscheduled should start expecting June-July builds
I've been figuring on a June build since the first week they scheduled May. With all the reorder HP guys getting passed over, I knew it would be a heck of a long shot for me.

The only thing I'm dreading is driving home through Kansas, Utah and Nevada in the middle of July. I really would like to have it home before football season at least.

By the time it's ready I'll have a pretty big down payment ready. I plan on charging it on my Ford Visa, using the points toward the extended warranty and then paying it off when my statement comes due. I'll be filling the trunk with some other FPP goodies for the drive home too, all adding on the points.

I’m wondering if I should just give up on the Mach 1 at this point and get something else… This wait seems like it keeps getting longer and longer.

Maybe I’ll see if the Jag dealer near me will take $65k for that F-Type R in British racing green that’s been sitting there for months, even though they’re a no-haggle dealer…

I'm pretty close to giving up. I agreed to put down a fucking deposit though. My scumbag dealer told me $500, took my order by phone, said it was in, after two weeks I noticed I hadn't gotten charged so they said come into the dealer. When I got there they asked for $2,500. I didn't mind really, but it was January and I thought I'd have my car by the end of April.

Now that there's no chance of getting the car before July, if then, and they're delivering mach 1s to dealers who have them posted with markups, I'm pretty disgusted.

Maybe I can get the dealer to refund some of that deposit, but more likely I'll just have to wait.

These car companies and their crummy dealers can get away with murder and nobody can do a damn thing about it. Really disgusting.

I am not a expert, but I think it just depends on luck as there is no rhyme or reason on how Ford puts the orders through

Yes, it would be silly if you didn't, Build and price wasn't even online at that time. I believe the earliest cancelled HPs last year were from end of April. But then again HP orders were starting to be taken in January, not in October like for MY22. Another factor is that many who wanted it on first sight already got it last year. But maybe that won't play a role given it's more limited than could be and it's more popular than for example Bullitt was (and less will be made). I think your chances of getting it are 99% still.

So here is how I got my Mach 1 after Ford canceled mine in October 2021. I immediately went online and started the search country wide. I was on the Ford inventory site and put in zip codes for major cities too.

I found one within 50 miles of me. I called immediately but it was spoken for. Perfect and matched my options. Bummer.

The next morning I found one in Illinois with no picture up but I saw the window sticker. I called immediately and they said it just came off of the trailer last night. I put down a $500 deposit to hold it and I would buy it today. I got pictures of the car after I put the deposit down. 4 people called within a few hours of me wanting to buy it as well. I confirmed they were selling at MSRP. They wanted to get their name out to people since they're small and didn't believe marking these up would help that.

Pilson Ford in Mattoon, IL shipped me the car at no additional cost. Arrived in a week. I still have my 2022 on order apparently and it's delayed again till May 23rd. This isn't a post to brag but more to say you have to really try hard to find what you want. Some small dealers out there have these. A huge amount of luck was also on my side as I mentioned several wanted to buy it ASAP. I ran into several dealers charging ADM and hung up.

no.

only because people who ordered at order book opening already had their cars by mid april, and they have not even started to MAKE them yet.

Don't give up hope. I ordered mine in Canada, Jan 14 last year. 700a, manual, race red. Everything except the Recaros. Picked it up in Mid August last year. 7 months waiting was hard.
There were several Flat Rock closures last year too.
Its such a rock n roll machine. Feeling so lucky to get and own it.

I am planning on doing the same trip and making a left to Arizona. I am going to do about 400 miles a day which is a walk in the park as far as mileage. Looking forward to seeing that part of the country.

I sure as hell wouldn't give up yet. If they can keep Flat Rock open for a month or two, I would think that would get the retail orders through February. So far there isn't any word that they are down next week. They normally post that stuff by Friday the week before. Maybe they'll be making Mustangs on Monday!

But, if things don't work out by September, I'll be looking for something like this:

My experience was the same as yours. Searched a lot every day and found a deal and moved on it. I also found a few that were just a window sticker and got several calls and gone after one day on the lot.

I’m hoping that Flat Rock is producing Mustangs this coming week. I know that it was rumored from an employee that it would be shutdown again this week, but I have not seen any official word from Ford on this. šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž
