They Aren't Building ANY Mustangs next week. This has Zero to do with HP/non-HP and everything to do with semiconductors. Dropping the HP from my build will NOT get me my Mach 1 any faster at this point. Had I ordered a non-HP back in November I'd be driving it now. The HP Hold is over, and chips are what is delaying my car. Thanks.
I think those comments are aimed at finding a non HP on a dealer lot. Idk. Who cares. #sadface

I think he meant finding a new non-HP car at a dealership and then converting it to HP. Right?

Right and that is not going to cause cancellations like others are talking about. It adds more time to the build. We are in March for god sakes, if we were in Aug or Sept i would be more concerned of cancellations. Although too, if the new platform is coming for 2023, it wouldnt be surprising if they released that in late 2023 to build out the remaining 2022's.

Again, this is semiconductor related issue and not parts that a 2022 would use specifically. Hell for all we know the S650 might be designed with the same chips. Im just optimistic that those who have orders will get their cars.

Good luck with that, the longer these shortages last the higher prices of actual built vehicles goes up, especially Mach 1 and GT500. I will wait, and hope, I'm not giving up on my great deal just yet. It just means (if it gets built) that I might be able to pay cash or make a huge down on it when it comes. Right now I'm hoping it's in time for football season. :explode: GD, Cup2 tires!

If it gets cancelled like last year's I'm looking into a retro-mod pre-1975 Mustang, Torino or Ranchero and drop a Blown Coyote in it, or a Factory 5 '65 Coupe.

I feel for all of you waiting.

I got a call from my Ford dealership 2 days ago. They left a message that my Mach 1 FJG was in. To say I was surprised is an understatement. I was pretty ecstatic seeing as though I ordered my M1 with HP the end of Jan 22 and I still hadn't received build notification. However, my hopes were dashed as when I called back they told me my Mach 1 with Elite package is in. I didn't order the Elite package and asked him if it was an HP car and he said no. Needless to say this was another customers order.

Built me up and tore me down all in the span of half an hour......

I'm telling you guys if you don't mind sweat equity you might consider converting a car to the HP. The parts cost isn't that bad at all and you can change things along the way.
My order is Mach 1 no HP and I haven't heard a damn thing.

If mine is cancelled, I will just buy a classic Mach with a big block and just spin tires all over town.

You still have time guys. A lot of the orders that got canceled last year were new orders in May and beyond. It may take a while but I seriously doubt any re orders from last year get canceled again. That would be some awful PR.

Sorry to create confusion. My comments were two fold:

1) There have been M1’s w/o HP on lot both ‘21 and ‘22 for MSRP
2) HP did certainly delay my October order.

I’m just saying if someone doesn’t want to wait months, there is an alternative.

yes. Just remember website price may not be the same as when you actually call to inquire

I am about to pull the trigger on a 2011 GT 500. 13K miles. Almost 20 grand cheaper and I can have it this weekend! Tired of waiting around for this Mach 1 that will probably get to me in time to sit in my garage for the winter.
