Hey guys so Should I come to the realization that I’m not gonna be one of the lucky ones that gets my car built ?🥺🥺
I ordered March 1st through Granger Ford. Yea it was a great deal but didn’t think about the fact that they have so many orders that they’re not gonna all get built. Congratulations to all of you that had to wait since last year and are getting your cars. I’m just so disillusioned with Ford and had to vent…
I also ordered through Granger (March 16) and haven't received an email with a build date. My guess is that they have no more allocations so we have to wait another month and hope we get picked. Totally sucks!

I wouldn't give up yet. I know I've seen others in here post that they have been informed order banks are closed for the year? I could definitely be wrong and so could the others being told that but from my understanding it sounded like coming up here into August through the end of the year they were going to start cranking out a lot more cars and won't be having as many anticipated shutdowns for scheduled days/weeks off. I wouldn't start feeling grim till the end of September with still no word since it seems it's 2-3 weeks from production to shipping (unless shipping delays).

Again, could be totally wrong.

Please don't get me started down this rabbit hole!
That's what happened on my '17 GT.
Just need the GT350 spoiler...then exhaust and rear valance...then body kit...
Does a GT500 hood fit?
A OEM GT350 hood didn't fit on a regular GT.

I like the M1 as it is.
I know I would have added all the Handling Pack bits if I didn't get the HP, so I just ordered it like that.
I think I'm good. Uh, ok, maybe mats, but that's it!
And, well, maybe the GT350 gauge cluster. Dang. I don't even have my car yet.
I will say the Mach 1's hood sucks. I think we could have gotten a slightly different one just to separate it some more but there's definitely room for improvement that the GT500 hood has with venting heat. Even the GT350 hood vent is nice.

Our bumper makes up for a lot of it though.

Yeah, really. What have you got to lose?
@shogun32 , you turned me on to Ourisman. No deposit required. If it gets built and you don't want it, they just put it on the lot.
Yeah, I had a similar experience to you, but just with the bonus of a lot more added stress along the way haha. Put an order in with Chapman last year in November, and I’ve still heard nothing about that order. Saw Ourisman being advertised with a below MSRP offer as well and figured might as well give it a try. Put in an order with them the beginning of June and yesterday got a build date. It’s crazy how much the dealer you order from completely changes things.

it's complete rubbish. At least for USA. Mustang order banks are still open.

That's a bummer. It wouldn't surprise me if this was part of their business strategy. Rack up orders to increase allocations. But if they get 1 additional allocation per every 5 orders, it's bad for the consumer. Dealerships are a business, and they look out for themselves. There's no way Ford will just give one dealership all the builds.

I just decided to go thru a smaller dealership, pay MSRP, and hope to get picked up.

I hope you get your M1 thru the order or the lot.

I saw someone say they thought Granger got 13 allocations yesterday for Mach 1’s, almost half of their total orders. At least to me, that seems like a LOT, and also makes it seem more likely that all their orders will be fulfilled by the end of the year. I wouldn’t give up all hope yet.

why not? it just means the others are not writing good deals. Of course assuming said dealer is not engaging in order fraud - cough Sheehy cough.

This "let's be fair to all the dealers and screw the car buyers" is the crux of this mess. It should be first in first out. If Grainger and a couple others account for 95% of all orders placed from Nov-March then production ALL goes to them (assuming material clean, no-hold) and the rest of the dealers with orders in April+ get to suck it.

Fairness is for kindergarten. Ruthless meritocracy is what properly drives business.

That there are unscheduled builds dating from Nov thru Feb is unconscionable.

February order here and nothing. Emailed Chapman and I'm told that I'm still unscheduled, but they did "see Mach 1s with Tremec start to scheduled last week, so fingers crossed!"

Ummmm... Ford didn't do any scheduling for mustangs last week and wtf are they talking about?

I'm also a 2021 reorder. 1st dealer pretty much ghosted me ("we primarily focus on SUVs and trucks"), so went with what I was recommended here and now people are saying Chapman is a bust because of the price protection.

This whole ordeal has me second guessing ordering a custom vehicle from any dealer ever again.

I hope this is the case. Are all these 13 builds confirmed? Or just mentioned by a Granger rep?

Hey business is business for Ford, they're gonna sell those cars regardless. Why not just distribute the allocations? Business is business for dealerships too.

Isn't Granger some sort of sponsor on this forum? I don't mean to stir the pot, but as a consumer, I take the side of a consumer.

I just hope people get their cars, whatever the case may be.

I can’t say for sure, just saw someone here posted that yesterday. Maybe someone has better insight here.

I believe you're talking about Zach at Granger, who posted this here yesterday:

I appreciate the patience of those who ordered through us this year. It has taken longer to get VIN assignments for 2022 than 2021. Some good news is we received allocation this past cycle for 13 Mustang Mach 1s, I Bel we have around 30 outstanding orders, we are prioritize orders by date, so we should be able to get most of the orders that have been sitting there for a while a VIN.

Thanks for the patience again!

Zach
I'm one of the outstanding Granger orders yet to get a VIN, but my priority code did drop from 19 to 16.

Sitting at Chapman waiting to get all of the paperwork done. Been here over an hour now. The Granger process is soo much better based on other feedback. Wish Chapman had a better process.

They have two GB HP Auto cars for sale. $5k ADM.

I hate to ask, but did you happen to see an Eruption Green Mach 1 on the lot? 😁

From what I've gathered, I get the sense Chapman is kind of overwhelmed with the amount of work they have and are trying to catch up. I still haven't heard from them on whether my car is even on the lot. Ford's tracker doesn't even load for my VIN anymore because it says it's delivered, lol.

@Mrs. ITLRUN When did you order from Granger and when did Ford confirm? I'm trying to get an idea of how many people are still ahead of me without a scheduled Mach/Vin#.
