First I’ve seen this...
It's a typo. The 2021 didn't get smaller discplacement or change compression. 12:1 and 307 c.i. (5.03 liters).

The 2018 PP1 includes everything on the list for 21 MY. They are the same. Your sticker just didn't list everything. I have a 2018 PP1, here's the all-inclusive list from the 2018 Mustang brochure:

Sucks that Ford pushed the MSRP to $55,000.
Now close to a Mach 1

Magnaride is great after several months with it. I live in our "midtown" area, historic homes, bad streets lol. So certain areas I take it out of Sport+ and back to Normal just because it cushions the ride, but then can go back to Sport+ in better areas.

Great, thanks for the comment. I choked on that additional cost to the $6500 Performance Pack in my 2021 but hearing similar comments and watching videos of how the technology adapts to all situations
I am glad I coughed up.

You can build a GT Premium with A10, PP1, MagneRide, and Safe and smart for $51,600. That is pretty expensive, but that's a pretty nice vehicle. That said, my 2018 with those same options had an msrp of $49k. Pretty much spot on factoring inflation from 2018-2021.

The $55k you're seeing must also include things like 401a and active exhaust, which I agree, is a lot of money for a GT.

It is an obvious difference to me. I love Sport+ mode, but there are several streets I go back to normal on.

I commented in another thread that it's mostly a wash if you are getting a fully loaded GT. Yes the PP pack went up considerably but now the safe and smart package is included in premium model. So overall MSRP is only about $350 over a fully optioned 2020.

My 2019 PP1 also has:
Wowza. PP1 on my 18 was $4k.

According to my sticker:
GT Performance Package
  • 19 Ebony Black Pntd Alum Wheel
  • 255F/275R/40r19 Summer Tire (PS4S)
  • Performance Rear Wing
  • 3.55 Ratio Limited Slip Axle
According to Ford.com for 2021 MY:
  • 19"x9" (F) 19" x 9.5" (R) Ebony Black Painted Aluminum Wheels

I've highlighted the things I think are actually different. What's on my sticker vs what Ford advertises seems to leave out a few things. Looks like they mixed the PP2 springs, K brace, and radiator into the PP1. Not exactly sure though.
My 2019 PP1 also comes with:
  • Heavy-duto Front Springs
  • K-Brace

Also, mine is one of the '19's that had the PP1 at the $4k ('18 price).

UNFORTUNATELY, It comes with a SILVER-Painted strut tower brace, so I am guessing that's one expensive black paint on the 2021 strut braces!!!

yep, used cars are pretty darn close to new. id pay the small premium for new with warranty and peace of mind.
I looked for months before I found my 2015 PP1 at CarMax for less than $27k. I got it for $26k w/ 45k miles, and I still feel like I overpaid. The market is rough right now; I picked a bad time to get in the market. With that being said, this car was a bargain relative to the current market--especially since I got it from CarMax at that price(they are generally high). It had three issues when I test drove it, and CarMax fixed all three issues without increasing the sticker price on the car(AC not working, chipped windshield[I pulled some BS out of my ass to have this fixed], and creaking noise from font when hitting bumps).

Good job. Car max is tough but good you held their feet to the fire to fix problems.

Not sure if it's rule or something, but I noticed from 2 movie on YT, where they were showcasing the GTs, and the cars were fitted with Pirellis.
Do you think it's a mistake, or they really got rid of Michelins?
Especially on PP cars it may cause again crowd issues:crackup:

Yeah, it's been discussed already. They reserve the Pilot Sports for the Mach 1 now. PP1 is honestly a rip off at this point with how little you get for the 5 grand.

I'm just taking a WAG, but I'd bet their procurement is similar to a municipality where they put out a spec to bid to multiple suppliers for a contracted amount and go with a low cost responsible bidder. As projects change so might components? It's generally all about some type of cost reduction.

Could also be a supply thing and Pirelli can meet their demand

Like I said, just a WAG
