I've got a 15 manual and it is very notchy. Especially when cold.

Fresh fluid and ford's special lube helped. I'm trying BG products next.

The camaro manual trans is much better. It is one of the few things chevy did better.

It’s a tremec that’s why.

Out of the maybe 6-7 people I've met locally at car meets, etc. with 2018+ mt82s, 2 had problems with theirs to the point of deciding to get rid of the car. Not a big sample but that's my observation.

I'm on my 3rd MT-82. My first 2, a 13 and a 15, were flawless. My 20 MT-82D4 I've missed 3rd twice at redline. I've owned manuals for 18 years and only missed a shift one other time. I've read that the way the transmission is mounted combined with the slightly higher redline is the culprit. It can either be remedied by installing the blowfish bracket or shifting just a bit slower with more care which I have made an effort to do.

Thanks all for replies.... waiting for 2021’s... dealer will call me to place order and chances are i will go with manual although i know auto-10 is a better transmission. I have to admit i dont understand why ford doesnt replace the mt82-d4 with a tremec and charge a bit more? Peace,
I am a manual guy also but that 10 speed with all the modes you can put the car in makes it a lot of fun. I just bought a 2021 auto. Coming out of a 10 GT 350.
Wanted a better car for the street. My 9th. Mustang. Most manuals. So at 66 years and all the modes the 2021 has I am very happy with that 10 speed automatic

wait, what? You can keep your Mustang card, but we're gonna need to examine and likely confiscate your Man card... :) I was gonna say "lay off the Iron City Beer, it's messing with your judgement" but then realized Malvern was outside of Philly, not Pittsburgh.

LOL yea. Missing the 350 but wanted something else that is better suited for around here. The GT is perfect for me. Also helped that I got $1500 less than what I paid for it as a trade.

Remember I have owned 9 Mustangs in my 50 years of driving so I think I am OK here.
I do enjoy it.

Well I'd rather have the 10 speed, but the PP2 didn't come with one, and I'm not new to a manual. While I can find some faults with the manual, I've found the biggest fault to be me, and not enough seat time.

Both trannys are great for different reasons
All my prior 7 Mustangs were manuals , but when I read about 10 speeds thought I would give it a go.
