The car @Charlemagne ordered was different. They had to install a sail and flotation devices to get it to him. That’s why it took so long.

Still faster than the Aussie guys, but they'll at least get it in the summer while we have winter

They made a whole batch of the European ones, saw two other FJG (manual + automatic) at the dealer. I gotta say FJG looks a lot better in person than in pictures (that make it look almost white).

The wait is finally over.....

After waiting weeks while the car sat waiting to be shipped, traveling by rail out to Las Vegas, numerous date changes to the tracking website, I have my car!

Obviously, extremely excited to play with it.

The build date was moved up two months, but the shipping portion was the longest wait. All that is now in the past.

Hoping all those who are still waiting can keep patient enough til they get their new car. It most certainly is worth the wait.

Pics…or it didn’t happen

My wife took a few pictures of me picking it up at the local dealership (Monday). Then I picked up my vanity plates this morning at the DMV (yes, the plate frame gets replaced tomorrow) and then my chassis number plate as final proof.

Taking it on my first real spin tomorrow morning through the back roads of southern Utah and then will stop to make appointments for window tinting and ceramic coating.

Enjoy the run through the gorge. I went through it 4 weeks ago in my FJG Mach1. FWIW... while in St. George a local told me there are cops on every exit in AZ and they make bank for the State writing tickets. Being from Mesquite you probably know this or its an old fable.

Whoever told you about the AZ cops in the gorge was pulling your leg. I zip through there at around 65 mph (speed limit 55) and cars (along with some 18 wheelers) just blow right by me. It is rare to see any cops on the road patrolling or hiding anywhere, either north or south.

There is construction (again) on I-15 north of Mesquite right a few miles before you hit the gorge. If you want to bypass that mess, turn off on exit 8 (Beaver Dam) and take old highway 91 into Santa Clara and the backside of St. George. That is a much prettier drive.

Just got the dreaded email last night. Moved from 11/1 to 11/8 now. Was 10/25 according to FP. I think the shut down that happened this week was probably why.

Ugh. Turns out it doesn't get better after it's built either... mine has been done for 9 days now and still sitting at Flat Rock.

Mine was moved back over two weeks. Week of 11/15 from 10/28
