M5367 is now home. It was a long drive back from Granger, IA but it was worth it. You've all seen a FJG Mach 1 before. New one looks a lot like the one in my profile. I'll post some pics once I get it cleaned up.

The Deal
Jay from Granger picked me up from my hotel in Urbandale. Car was ready to go. I took it for a quick spin while they ensured all my paperwork was ready. Javan took care of the paperwork quickly and I was out in less than an hour after after arriving at the dealership.

Granger had two Mavericks and several Broncos on the lot. I would do business with them again (already am, have a Maverick enroute.)

The Drive
1. My original problem with the Recaro seats was solved. The heated and cooled premium seats fit very well. Given the odd weather, I got to used the cooling feature rather than the heated seats first. Worked great to knock off that overly warm feeling from having your butt in the seat for a few hours.
2. I was surprised that the seat back was manual rather than electric. I probably should have checked that out earlier, not that it would have made a difference.
3. Tire pressures were high from factory, 44 psi, so I had to stop by a gas station and get a tire gauge to set the pressure as close as I could to 32.
4. The ride in Normal mode was great across most of the highways from Iowa down to Alabama. Some ruts in a construction zone were exciting but nothing to worry about really.
5. Rained on me the whole way through St. Louis. No issues with stability or control of the vehicle. Ran with the fast traffic and felt planted the whole way.
6. Connected Android Auto and Waze worked great but I had to reset route after stops.
7. If you downshift from 6th gear to 4th to pass that slow truck, mind your speed, it goes up very quickly.
8. If you don't pay attention when downshifting into first, the shifter sometimes kicks out of gear. Only had it happen once on me. Make sure to fully engage the clutch.
9. I think some folks blocked the left lane just to see if I would go around them. I obliged them when I could.
10. For the last leg of my trip I had the windows down and flipped the car into Sport+ mode. What sweet, sweet music coming from that engine.

TL;DR Summary: Nice ride, great clutch, loud and beautiful engine. Would drive again.

Note: 22.6 MPG AVG for the 800 mile trip.

That's pretty awesome mileage for the highway. I'm glad you had a good experience

My car delivery window is 12/17 - 12/23, so we'll see how this goes.....with the crazy warm weather, I might end up driving it home

Last email I received was production week of December 20th from Ford. The same day FP advised that I had a production day of December 13th and that My car went into production on December 6th and no update since then. My dealer told me last week that they were told to expect my car delivered to them Dec. 28th but I feel that is over optimistic. Anyone else getting similar dates or ETAs from their order? TIA

yes, my car finished around 12/3-4, 12/18-24 arrival they say. depends on a lot of things like shipping dates and pickup mostly. It s possible a car can sit a long time at a rail yard or such. Just keep fingers crossed cause the major hurdle was getting it produced . The e mail states 12-28 days for shipping. so your estimate is not far off from my estimate. I m chapman ford, you?

I ordered mine through Mike Willis Ford in Louisiana. I feel fortunate that it’s getting made just getting antsy towards the finish line. I haven’t had a car since June and sick of sharing one car.

Mine arrived 6 days earlier than the official tracker estimate.

I've been heckling them once a week every Wed/Thur and they don't seem to mind. Very pleasant people. The shipping updates they can give aren't super specific (I was told mine was somewhere near a rail yard in KC) but it's better than nothing, and the ETA is probably more accurate than the electronic system. My JCT link also has the VIN logged but no useful information.

Does anyone know how long their car stayed in the “trim level” of production?
I got some dates in work but if I remember not more than a few days at most.
