Op gave an update on Facebook!!

“Got an update on my car finally, took a couple weeks. A valve snapped. Welded itself to the Piston after mashing itself between the Piston and head .. lol. Joy.”

Question, do you get a new motor from Ford or a rebuild?
New large block

Same issue when cylinder 8 failed on my car at 2k miles

still don't know. they're still investigating the extent of the damage to determine what ford would approve.

Even if this issue never came up and you bought a supercharger you would be outta warranty unless you buy a roush...I wouldn't take this as the norm but an anomaly..

I want to make sure this isn't an issue before i go with a supercharger. I don't mind accepting financial responsibility on a sound engine but don't want to have to pay for something that may have been an underlying issue all along. i'll just wait a while to make sure before making any warranty voiding modifications

Bald Menace your car was built about 6 weeks after the first quality control units were built. I think Entaiie was a very early build like early October.
yeah - your build is still early, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't as early as mine - I'd hope that would give them time to iron out any issues. I hope you do not run into the same issue, it's unlikely, but I would not personally have the confidence to supercharge it unless you went the Roush/warrantied route.. My car is still down, I miss it :(

yeah, my game plan is to hold off long enough for the A10 and the 2018 5.0 to be proven reliable and non problematic.

hey gents. Ford is still working on a buyback process for the car. they've been dragging their feet and taking way longer than they should and dropping the ball left and right for various reasons, but that's the expected outcome.

Are you working directly with Ford or did you file lemon law claim?

I'm working with them directly, but they are using state lemon laws as guiding principals for how to process everything.

Were they not able to replace the engine in a specific amount of time?
