Any look at the head? This is a rare image of the engine pulled down to that level. Interesting. We've seen a lot of different failure types at this point - many latch on to one or the other and say it applies to all engines but a ring land isn't one of the more common ones, I don't think? Check out #7, looks suspiciously void of carbon.

anyways, looks like 8 definitely had a ringland/ring issue that led to tons of oil burn and eventual failure. Not sure how that affect the valve, tho.
I think the issue with 7 is lighting. 5/6 look fairly clean too.

boy, not sure I’d want that tech working on my car. So great to see pools of coolant just chilling in the cylinders.

That block is going back to Ford. Longblock replacement under warranty.

And get the 8 year extended warranty.

Go to flood ford and look at the extended warranty prices between the 5.0 and the GT350. Huge difference..... ask me how I know

Hey Tom. They don't seem to be available in FL. I am looking for the ESP in FL, any suggestions? I'm guessing there is some regulatory enforced requirement that causes the FL pricing to be +30% over non-FL. Am looking for the 8 year / 48k miles or so. Thanks.

Allstate Insurance has a warranty program. From what I recall they were reasonable and coverage was also good.
