I would do this recall if my dealer had the know how and passion that yours does...my first oil change the bastards did not clean all the run off. Oil drops all over my garage floor and I AM SURE ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE AS WELL! As soon as I can lift it I will clean it myself....it sux that some techs are lazy and could care a less...pisses me off. I did not have faith that they would not F up the job...I will try another dealership I guess.Just had mine done. No mess, no fuss. It was a very positive experience. The tech introduced himself and took me out to the service garage where my Shelby was on the lift. He talked me through the procedure and particularly the underside work (where I had opportunity to see my few splitter underside scrapes were minimal at most). He was enthusiastic about the car and seemed eager to do the service work. He is a BOSS 302 owner and invited me to join him and a few local Mustang buddies for their bi-weekly breakfast meet up. (Did someone say breakfast!??? I am IN). So it was a very positive experience and just over 2 hours with the oil change. The car was immaculate and not as much as a fingerprint remained after the service.
Although I know the new shifter was really to update the reverse lockout, it felt crisp and more robust than the original (which I had no issues with). I can say the left side stop of the shifter gate does feel more solid.![]()
that is what my dealer told me...The recall is good for the life of the car ??
I must have missed that.
You know, believe it or not, the detail guy got it out. I went over it lightly with the shop vac and hit it with a flashlight and a magnifying glass - couldn't see anything. It hurts to see that they stained your seat man!! This is what I mean, carelessness !!!
how is it that none of these service departments think to put a plastic seat cover over the seats as soon as the car comes into the shop!?!!?!?
Randy, did the stain come out ?
Im glad you already have them lined up for a replacement seat cover if the stain doesn’t come out.
My dealer puts plastic over seat, paper floor mats and wraps the steering wheel. It hurts to see that they stained your seat man!! This is what I mean, carelessness !!!

I thought the recall is good until 2024.Regarding the shifter recall. I am not going to worry about the shifter recall. Too much chance for the dealer to mess up the interior and I am not going to be the ginny pig. For daily driving and occasional spirited driving it is not necessary according to my dealer. It is a B rating recall not a A rated recall which the dealer would have to do the change. The recall is good for the life of the car, so screw it. If I have a problem then I will worry about it.
That's what I thought too.I thought the recall is good until 2024.
100% correct on the date! Just double checked my letter. It is printed right on the FSA. Program Terms: available until Feb 13, 2022 with no mileage limit for the program.
