Is there a way to tell if you have the new or old version? I ordered a set through BMR and it looks like Viking has drop-shipped them. I won't have them until next week, but I'm hoping Viking is shipping the updated units.

I don't know if you can tell by looking at them .. If they don't rattle or squeak they have been updated ..

Can anyone confirm the new shocks are consistently quiet and still cure "the bounce"?

I received my crusaders today, thanks to beef for the great hookup on the price.

I am looking to install them by the weekend and can report back.

beefcake I noticed these didn't come with nuts for the stud mount, Am I supposed to reuse the factory nut? The bag of hardware just had bolts washers and nuts for the bottom mount.

Beef the new shaft has an o-ring and retaining ring in the very top of the shaft followed by the threads and a flat portion to keep the shaft from spinning while torque the nut.

Has anybody installed the factory bump stops on these shocks? The instructions stated warranty void if not used with bump stops. Just trying to figure this out before I put these on the car. Going to try and install them tomorrow afternoon if the weather cooperates and I can have some daylight left.

I did. I removed the snap ring and set the shock to a really stiff compression setting, then put a tiny bit of grease on the inside of the bump stop, then jammed it down onto the shaft.
