Mine showed up today, I ordered it last week from White Bear Lake. I ran home on my lunch hour to grab it off my porch and figured I might as well install it. Lining up the template was easy, I just took my time and made sure it was straight. Then punch each of the holes and drill them. I love...
They conveniently forget to mention that the YoY numbers are comparing the Mustang in its 2nd year to its monstrous 1st year. This should be the Camaro's monstrous 1st year. Who knows, maybe by next year this will have proven to be the big year for 6th Gen Camaro sales.
Do the "stage 2" Ford Performance power pack and have a dealer install it if you're concerned with the warranty. +21HP and 24TQ peak and you get +40TQ at 1500 RPM.
That would put you at peak numbers of 456HP and 424TQ with an enormous increase in torque at the low end.
This is correct. I think another thing that works in the Mustang's favor even in the minds of people who are looking for serious performance is that the only real deficiency of a stock GT PP car vs a stock Camaro SS is a little time around a track. It's not hard to modify a Mustang to perform...
A good read for sure, I really liked this part:
I think they're drinking their own koolaid. The fact that sales are in the toilet would indicate that it's not the car to get.
I haven't driven my MPSS in the winter here, so I can't tell you how they do in the cold. I do have a set of DWS06 that I have mounted on my factory PP wheels that I used last winter and they were great. I can't speak to the AS3 because I've never used them. When the temperatures drop back down...
This would at least make some sense, though we could argue it probably isn't working the way they'd hoped. If that is the case though I'm puzzled about one thing... if they're trying to go upscale and attract an older crowd why does the new Camaro look like it was designed by 10 year old boys...
I've got a 285/305 setup and did my first track day with the car last week. My alignment settings were a best-guess (I think -1.7 front camber, -1.5 rear) for street oriented use, my sway bars were BMR's recommendation after I called them (front set on middle, rear on full soft,) and my tire...
Perhaps the tire size was simply the biggest tires they figured they could make work. If you want to look at really fast cars and tire sizes consider that the Z06 comes with a 285/335 setup. A GT3 RS comes with a 265/325 setup, as does the Porsche 918.
Obviously there's a lot that goes into...
Is there a new update out? I'm seeing people with 2015s here (so Sync2) talking about versions 5.8 and 5.9. My last update was in October and the Sync site says I'm up to date with version 3.8. Is there a difference in version numbers between the MFT and non-MFT system or am I missing some updates?
It's so simple... the Mustang looks better, costs less, and is a better car to live with. The only advantage the Camaro has is that a stock SS is a little faster than a stock GT, which matters to very few people in the general buying public. A large number of potential buyers don't care which...
You would be able to do the same speed. If the front tires are losing traction first then adding more rear tire (skewing the car even more towards understeer if everything else remains the same) isn't going to cause the fronts to break loose sooner.
Does anyone have in-car video showing the hood lift issue? I was at the track last week and I didn't notice any hood movement and even reviewing my video I don't see it. Maybe I'm lucky with my car.
Spray it on the spherical bearing area, just hose down the bearing/aluminum spacers. There's a thread talking about this in more detail if you search and BMR has a lube they recommend too, but the WD40 trick seems to work great and everyone has some lying around. Mine drove me nuts until I lubed...
