Sounds a lot like my situation, less the FRPP touring cutback. I don't mind the stock exhaust, but I'd have to hear a FRPP touring before buying it. I doubt I'd want to go any louder than the touring though. Web videos of the FRPP touring and sport just don't accurately convey it for me.
Maybe there are some fellow Mustang owners in your area that you could meet up with? And maybe someone has the touring exhaust so you can hear it in person?

I've heard the sport in person and I like it. But it's somewhat louder than the touring cat backs. I made the right choice for me.

Install a louder exhaust then after a few weeks, reinstall. They'll thank you.

Add a dash cam for precautions...

I have the same exhaust as you, but even then It's only loud for the 15-20 second and then it idles down to what seems comparable to stock.

There's always that one pissed off neighbor...and I bet in your case, that person went around and had people add their names.

If I were you, I'd go around and find the people that had the names on it and talk to them personally about it...I doubt neighbors just gathered and started complaining to each other about your exhaust.

Sucks to hear man. I've always wondered if I'd get the note on my detached personal garage at my apartment complex as well. The roush ABs w/ xpipes are loud as hell after sitting overnight. Thankfully I work from home and I try to not leave out after 11pm or before 8am if I need to step out for something unless it's a late Friday or Saturday.

I had to leave out around 7:45 two mornings ago though, and I just simply started it up, gave it about 5 seconds, and went straight into "D" (which I never do), and I was very surprised at how much more quiet it was when creeping. I knew it'd be more quiet, but not by THAT much.

There's also another loud truck right in front of my unit who leaves around 8am every day. So I figure as long as he's loud and leaving early in the morning, I should be fine. :)

i mean other than cold start any catback exhaust on this car you have to make it be loud no matter what it is. they are all tame until you get on it.

i can understand living in san fran or cali in general because of the crazy noise and environmental laws and what not and people having issues. that wouldn't surprise me at all with type of people that are there.
and good god 1k sqft for 600k?! I got 4100sq ft for 300k here!

here though it's not something to really worry about because we got harley's, mustangs, camaros, tin can hondas, and loud ass trucks every where.

my corsa extreme is the least of my worries, i'm also not an asshole with it in the neighborhood either and put it in 3rd gear to keep rpm at 1500 or so.
CA noise laws arent crazy at 95db. That being said, just about every HOA, apartment, etc. have other noise restrictions (and thankfully so). Nobody wants to hear dogs barking all damn day because of lazy, incompetent, owners, nobody wants to hear your noisy Harley that is just making noise for the sake of noise, and nobody wants to listen to loud vehicles idling early (never mind the jackasses that let their loud vehicles to include diesels warm up for 10 minutes) in the morning or coming home late at night. It's just part of being a courteous neighbor.

I go to work at 4am haven't heard any complaints and don't care at this point. New louder exhaust will be going on shortly. You got the thugs that drive around with the bass blasting, the guy with the harley that goes up and down the road all night with his pipes. The Chevy silverado that sounds like it has a hole in the exhaust thats drives at all hours, and last but not least the Shelby Cobra (replica I'm assuming) that shakes the house. If anyone complains, they are wasting their breath.

Wish you the best of luck dealing with it. If it's just one douche don't worry about it.

Maybe sell the Corsa exhaust at a reduced price. Then install something quieter. You will never catch me in a condo/apartment period. Do you live in SF? They bitch at the smell of barbeque when you cook.

Good suggestions. I'm going to keep my eyes (and ears) peeled.

I think you made the right choice for me too, I'm just not willing to wager on it yet. :D

Then when they land themselves in jail for felony vandalism:thumbsup:

id rather not have my car ruined than getting the neighbors mad/in trouble.

this is another case of adapt to your surroundings instead of trying to make the surroundings adapt to you.
