Our local dealer had his last LE on the showroom floor with a $25K markup, a rousing $69,600. Wimbledon White MT. I guess Koons' $62K price really is a head-banging WOW deal!

I bought my car at koons in balitmore. so did 'merica and several other people we have referred people from all of the country. check my sig for all my car has which is everything but adaptive cruise and recaros and i got out the door for $38k back in jan months after release...in fact when I bought my car it was 1 of 2 in the entire country with these options and premier trim... my car is at least 43k here in south carolina. koons is no joke. with the wow price all you have to do is add $800 for the freight and your states sales tax/reg fees/tag fees whatever.

I guess the reason I couldn't let that reply stand is simple:

I was being an idiot with regards to the 4cyl. No bones about it. Take this as a lesson: don't let people get to you. I should have bought the v8 to begin with, but once I had the 4cyl I shouldn't have let comments get to me. I was being a p*ssy.

That being said, I was being p*ssy, NOT a liar. And I just don't like to let an accusation like that stand. My word is my word. It's everything to me. Everything I have posted here is truth as I understood it. I don't like the embarassment of losing $1000 and trading in a car I only owned a few months, but I refuse to spin it as anything other than it is: a dumbass mistake by a new guy to the Mustang world, who thought he wouldn't have v8 envy, despite everyone warning him that he probably would.

At least I can drive stick more or less decently now. It was pretty shitty when I first got this car, lol. My sins against the Mustang Gods are many, but hopefully I make up for a few by not stalling the thing.

I tried it and my shifts were much smoother. The pedal felt linear and I could find the engagement point much easier. But....my daily drive is spent in rush hour stop and go for about 45 minutes to an hour each way and for the 2 weeks the spring was out my left leg felt like mush when I got home. So, back in it went...

Yeah. Do it. You can always put it back in. I was worried about pedal efforts before I took it out, but it'll never go back in. It's stiffer, but you really do get used to it in a couple days.

As an FYI, if folks don't believe the price I got on the Ecoboost Mustang... they'd really lose their sh*t if I told them what I got the F150 for. Sticker on the '12 F150 was like $33.5k and I got it for $25k, new, after rebates.

For me, car shopping is like a second job. I research EVERYTHING. Rebates (most people would qualify for more rebates if they bothered to look!). Special pricing, like the X-Plan. TrueCar.com prices. I take pictures of dealer offers and then send them to other dealers to beat, then send that BACK to the original dealer to beat.

If you do these things, you will get a much better deal. MSRP doesn't mean sh*t when it comes to what the car is worth, or what they will be willing to sell it to you for if you do the legwork.

Yep if you research stuff, and know what is out there, when to buy, etc you can get some really good deals.

Many don't realize the dealers don't want these cars sitting on lots. They want them gone. Even if they make $100, its off the lot and a sale. They can make it up on someone else not as educated about their money.
