Started to do the short shifter conversion for my automatic 2015 gt. I use the white insert that came with it. Put all back together and something wasn't right. You could switch gears without brake. I took back a part and went to pull out the insert and it was stuck. It then broke off and now it's stuck down inside with no way to get. I'm beyond pissed right now so I walj8 off to think. How am I going to get it out. Doesn't look easy to get shift pole out

Didn't know they made a short shifter for an automatic, and what's the point, it's an automatic.

Any suggestions on how to get that piece out? Not sure if it's possible to get shifter pole out so I could push from other side

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.
Tap a hole for the screw. You don't want to force it in as it might wedge the plastic out. You might put a few drops of oil in on top of the plastic and let it sit overnight before you try to pull it out.

I think drilling it could cause it to go deeper and become a bitch to pull. I say tape the inside and then add an epoxy mix with the head of the nail resting on the white piece then pull with plyers.
