Just to confirm what was posted above, my car is a GT premium convertible. It was built 2/10 and is now in transit with an EDD of 2/26. I hope your cars all ship soon. I know the wait is frustrating.
Looks like you are the lucky one. My eco convertible was built on 2/3, and I have been stuck in "Awaiting Shipment" since 2/6. I have a PM in to Ford, but no answer yet on the holdup. EDD is 2/24, but if something doesn't happen REAL soon, I expect that to change, and not for the better.....

What's eating me up is they are not giving a solid answer as to why the cars are held up. Also the fact that people who recently ordered their cars are getting them without issue. Some clarity from Ford would be greatly appreciated at this point.

I don't understand the frustration. Ford doesn't WANT to keep your cars sitting around. Things happen and they are working on getting cars out. I don't think they should be telling us what is going on either, the word spreads and it could potentially be a PR nightmare. All for what, grown men that can't wait a few more days for their toy?

If status quo was what they want (read no visibility you get your car when it comes) then why build Cotus? I can wait for my toy but with the known QC issues it doesn't make a hold in the process easy unless they are addressing fixes.

The Mustang is replacing my daily driver, I'm currently sharing a car with my wife, and we work slightly different hours, so instead of being at home now, I'm stuck at work with a sore back. So at this point, yeah, I need a car, and waiting an extra day isn't that easy.

But like I've been saying previously, it's the not knowing, just having my car sit while identical cars have been shipped out already.

What really bugs the PISS out of me is this: Ford started this build week on 2/2/15. When was this QC Issue discovered??? Most cars built on the 3rd not shipped from what I have noticed. Was this issue not found on the 3rd/4th , or was ford aware, & decided to build a problem child all week.
I waited late in the production cycle to avoid this. (SO I THOUGHT !!)

Same exact dilemma. I really hope this is nothing serious - like they have to disassemble some of the cars to fix whatever might be the problem and then put them back together. Then again, maybe it's just a majorly thorough QC check to make sure everything is up to spec (in which case I'm totally okay that). Hopefully we'll have some insight soon! :headbonk:  I really want to get to the bottom of this.

I can understand hold some cars for a random QC, but it would seem they are holding an entire build week.

AndreG, This is a Forum after all. The purpose is to come in and discuss our thoughts...concerns, regarding our Mustangs. Even our frustrations....
That is the reason for this forum is it not?
But I do respect your opinion. You are right about one thing. I am a 61 year old kid...waiting as patiently as I can for my new toy....And I am glad I can come here to find that I am not the only one in this Boat...Waiting with no explanation why......

Detroit is having its coldest weather of the season right now. Tonight will be below zero. I just wonder if this could be a factor now, as far as getting the cars loaded on the trucks, trains.....
