Took delivery of my Mustang GT with 8 miles on the odometer about six hours ago. 43 days from Order Date to Driveway. Thanks to everyone at Mustang 6G for sharing your experiences through this process and to Galpin Ford for a smooth transaction and wonderful turnaround time.

Had a chance to give the car a thorough visual inspection. Lowered my eye level, got up close and went to work. From the front fascia to the hood to the doors, bumpers and trunk - all good. I noticed the tiniest little misalignment on the bottom of the rear quarter panel, absolutely because I was looking for it. Passed my tolerance test instantly. For a machine assembled in Michigan and loaded onto a train bound for Southern California where it was loaded onto a carrier and transported deep into the San Fernando Valley, I'd say job well done to all involved.

The only detail I and the dealer overlooked at delivery -- wheel locks. They were in the glove box instead of on the wheels. Not a huge issue for me, I'll have it taken care of. If you've ordered wheel locks and want them installed, be sure to ask in advance.

Didn't sleep last night because of excitement. After my first "spirited drive" a few hours ago, I'm kinda feeling the same way tonight.

While I Am happy for those getting their cars.....WHY will no one at ford tell us why our (2/2) build week cars are still sitting there, while so many in later build weeks are getting their cars!
Can't you folks at Ford even understand why we are so angry about this? Getting NO answers just makes it worse.
Hi mikef523,

We do definitely get where you're coming from. We can however, only provide information that is available to us. You're welcome to check in with us whenever you like for an update, if available. :)

Finally got to pick it up from Dealer this AM. Serious fun being had. Big. I was shaking when I first started up the Mustang. Hope others get their cars soon. Very enjoyable car to drive. Second gear is the best gear. Third is awesome fun too. Usually stop shifting at 4th as I like to hear the V8. Puddle lights are pretty cool too.

My build date was done 2/17 and it didn't show up on COTUS "in transit" until 2/28 with a estimated day of delivery on 3/22. Looking on COTUS today and it's back awaiting shipping with no estimated day of delivery??? Weird.
Hey Ecoboosted,

I see in our system that your 'Stang is currently "In Transit." It looks like your EDD went down a bit. As of now, it's listed as 3/17 (subject to change). She's galloping your way! :D

Car is at the dealership as of Monday. Picking it up on Friday morning. Told them to NOT drill the front bumper for a license plate, DO fill with 93 octane gas, and if they can't clean the car without making swirl marks/scratches DO NOT CLEAN THE CAR!!! i will do it myself at home :).

Definitely am going to check the car out thoroughly for panel alignment/interior/exterior finish etc before i accept the car. Hopefully all goes well. If not the car can sit there until all the issues are addressed and fixed.
