I am preparing to pull my transmission so that I may change the clutch, slave cylinder, and flywheel. While I’ve got everything apart what other mods or improvements do yall recommend?

So far I’ve got……

1) braided clutch line
2)MGW X Spec shifter

what else should I be looking at ( bushings ?? Mods to MT82 to improve reliability) I’m capable of disassembling and reassembling the transmission but not sure what to do or if there is anything to do.

car is boosted and Tremec isn’t an option.

Have you narrowed things down yet to a solid plan of attack? If so, what’s your plan?

Honestly after reading through your post I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. I don’t think I’ll tear into the transmission after reading your post. I am still looking into all the options for mounting bushings.

I got the steeda transmission mount bushing insert, steeda clutch spring, and steeda shift base bushing bracket kit to sturdy up my mt82 and I've noticed a huge difference. Next thing imma get is the braided clutch line hopefully that keeps her going and shifting good for a few years, best of luck with your

I understand. Well, the obvious stuff like a good shifter, bushings (as you’ve stated), motor mounts, and maybe even an upgraded carrier bearing (if sticking with the 2 piece driveshaft), are all great ideas to get rid of the drivetrain slop. I have run the Whiteline transmission bushing insert before and now I run the Boomba Racing Mount with black bushings. Short of going into the transmission, a good clutch will also be a really great addition.
