Why Would Anyone Do This Autozone BS?

Sorry, not sorry, but woke up choosing violence today. I see quite a few Mach’s especially on Facebook groups with this BS trim on their cars. Not always orange, sometimes other colors too, depends on what their accents are. Since when did sticking colored 3m tape outlining the car become “cool”. It looks like the most absolute ricey BS. Quite honestly, hard to look at, makes the car look so cheap. I’m in the camp that if a “mod” or visual change involves 3m tape, it’s for the 90’s clapped Civics. End rant.

I've seen a few cars witih red/orange accents on the black/dark gray stripes that doesn't look bad

I don't mind a few well placed but understated accents, but you're right that Mach 1 cake decorating was taken way too far.

I had one on my lower lip that was color matched (FJG) which i do think looks better than an alternate color. I removed it eventually.

that car has A-LOT of accents meanwhile I am trying to figure out how to black out my rear mach 1 badge. To each their own i guess.

Cars, especially Mustangs are very personal. Let people customize them to their own taste. If I don't like what they did I just dont give the car a 2nd look.

I did a few, but didn't over do it. The accents around the "fog light" holes, the Mach 1 overlay on the hood. I left it at that. I did buy the fender and rear deck overlays but thought better of it And the tow hook of course. But I did completely de stripe the sides of mine, and color matched the spoiler to make it unique. I do agree, all around everything is a bit much...

I follow a dude on IG that color matched everything! the rear diffuser, lower black side plastic, spoiler, both lips. Looked strange and interesting all at the same time.

Yeah, I could see that. BUT, rock chip city. I already have several chips in the paint on my spoiler... :( I'll leave the textured stuff down low My front lip already looks like hamburger meat underneath. I scrape it regular on the dragon in a few of the whoops curves when I hammer them a bit too hard

Strangely nice. But a bit much. The FJG needs to be broken up, hence the black and orange accents.

I kind of like it. Lol I actually think it's pretty low key. I wouldn't do it to my car because the track is hard on paint. But it doesn't look as bad as that fmj Machtober posted.
