Why Would Anyone Do This Autozone BS?

Have definitely seen worse. I like the accent color on the halos. I like what Alex did with his hood stripe as well. The accents around the front lip will get beat up pretty good, but it otherwise doesn’t look bad. The accents to the rear spoiler look out of place to me, but the rest isn’t too bad.

Thank you. Yeah I couldn't get rid of the hood stripe. The sides, they had to go though... All the lower stuff I agree, my stuff gets beat to snot as it is. And the orange overlay over the hood Mach 1 just works. The matte grey peeking thru stock was WAY too subtle for me. I did do some other orange accents here and there Strut tower brace, shift knob, and of course the factory stripe on the seats... AND, I even got shoes to match. Skechers makes some that are pretty close. They are wearing out fast, but I can always buy another pair

I enjoy seeing the different looks. I try not to dis any car, it's thier pride and joy. Like stated before, if you don't like it, don't give the car a second look.

Strangely nice. But a bit much. The FJG needs to be broken up, hence the black and orange accents.

That "fighter jet gray" doesn't show up 'Murican fighter jets.

Eventually I remembered who painted fighter jets that color, and they broke it up with red.

Sorry, not sorry, but woke up choosing violence today. I see quite a few Mach’s especially on Facebook groups with this BS trim on their cars. Not always orange, sometimes other colors too, depends on what their accents are. Since when did sticking colored 3m tape outlining the car become “cool”. It looks like the most absolute ricey BS. Quite honestly, hard to look at, makes the car look so cheap. I’m in the camp that if a “mod” or visual change involves 3m tape, it’s for the 90’s clapped Civics. End rant.

I think that when Ford designed the current version of Mach 1 they walked right up to the line of too much (decals) then took one small step backwards and decided that was good. And I am inclined to agree. I am not a big decal/graphics guy but for the Mach, it seems to work and Ford did not push the envelope. And the compliments I receive reference that the color of the decals compliment the paint. So, if one chooses to go full stickers and it makes them happy, good for them. Personally, I don't want to do anything that makes my Mach look like a Nissan Sentra on a Friday night...

I'm not a fan either, I personally think that Ford did a pretty good job with the styling of the Mach 1s to the point where I have trouble seeing any exterior add ons that I love. Mine is a Non-HP so I did change to Apex wheels, GT350 spoiler paint matched to the factory gray accents and the 4th brake light from the Euro Mustangs. Pretty basic I suppose and most probably never notice the changes.

I did a few, but didn't over do it. The accents around the "fog light" holes, the Mach 1 overlay on the hood. I left it at that. I did buy the fender and rear deck overlays but thought better of it And the tow hook of course. But I did completely de stripe the sides of mine, and color matched the spoiler to make it unique. I do agree, all around everything is a bit much...

Local. Only about 45 min away for me. We eat there a LOT. They are pet friendly so we love to go there. Good food, great atmosphere...

OK. I get it. We all have different tastes. Sometimes really different. I was taught to "Praise in public and criticize in private."
I was at a car show. Typical shopping area parking lot on a beautiful Friday evening. Probably 100 cars. Mostly higher-end classic muscle with some newer stuff thrown in. One car was a Chrysler PT Cruiser. FULL JC Whitney mode. Made Autozone Overload look like Chip Foose was looking for another Riddler Award. One guy in particular was going off loudly how "That POS has no right to even BE here!" "WTF is this guy THINKING??" Etc.. It belonged to a teenage girl with Down's syndrome. She loved that car!
That was one guy. I DID see several people talking with her later obviously encouraging her to talk about her car and the mods. All this is just to say be careful whom you are criticizing in public.
