It's located like right between the front splitter and engine splash guard. For context I have a headlight misalignment, ford tech lifted the car and saw this damage and didn't want to touch it (not a body shop). Things this damage may have pushed the bumper up causing it to bend/bow out of place. Misalignment was there when the car was delivered but I never looked underneath it in that spot. Car has sub 300 miles on it, I'm the only person whose driven it and of course dealer is pointing fingers and wanting to do nothing. This metal piece is dented, and even looks just broken at that corner

I canā€™t work out where that piece is and Iā€™m not familiar with the Mach front end, but I think thatā€™s plastic and not metal ?

Hope you get it all fixed up Ok :like:

Same here, even when trying to make the pics larger or smallerā€¦

OP can you either circle the area in relation to the frontal images you also have up or explain more the actual location weā€™re viewing in the close up images?

I have (2) guesses:
1) Damage occurred getting the car off the original delivery transport onto Dealership lot.

or

2) Damage occurred while parking too close to a curb or parking lot cement bumper.

From what Iā€™m seeing, I donā€™t think it could have been road debris impact while driving, but again itā€™s hard to tell from the images being so close up.

I believe on Mach 1 it looks similar to GT350, with the auxiliary transmission oil cooler behind the vent. The cooler however has the mounts on top and there should not be any painted part below (except the front bumper).

How the Mach 1 front bumper looks like at the bottom you can see in my post here:

It is placed upside down in the shot so the bottom edge is up.

I attempted to look at mine, but the area underneath is covered by the spoiler, splitter and belly pan.

@murick displayed the cooler on that side. The metal is the body color. So, maybe part of the front clip, an area things like the spoiler or belly pan can bolt on to for support?

FWIW, it does not appear anything is leaking in that section; that's very good.

I would reach out to Ford Corporate and plead the case that the car has low miles and it wasnā€™t inspected due to it being brand new. They know of new cars being delivered damaged.

And now any dealer including the selling dealer will blame you. That sucks!

Yeah it's impossible to see anything under there it's all covered by plastic which is why I'm asking to try and figure out how important of a piece that is and if I should try and get it replaced.

Looking at it again youew right, it might be plastic, if it is it's probably just part of the bumper assembly no? I looked underneath again too and the scratches extend too far back for me to even see the entire length of it so it's clearly ran over something]

If the headlight damage was notated at delivery, you can 100% make a case this is related(hopefully it is, I assume you are fot a nefarious character :)), clearly it was damaged, and they will naturally want to blame you(the consumer) but do not give up, they will want to blame you because they are past the window they can file a transpotation claim(for us its 24-72 hrs depending if it is a manned deliver or not). They will need to contact their Rep and get permission to repair, which is what they should do, but depeding on the delaer, it can be a fight, which is sad, but the true these days. If I had to guess, it got caught on something backing off the carrier.

Yeah idk that its gonna happen, the other issue is nobody seems to want to touch the headlight because of the damage to the car and not knowing what may be underneath. A local body shop quoted around 2200 for worst case which would be the bumper cover needs to be replaced. He claims that its not uncommon for an impact like that to cause the clips on the bumper to break which means as soon as its removed it cant really be put back on
