An I thought it couldn't get any more boring than that video.

Savage geese reminds me a lot of old top gear. But I'm not surprised at their results TBH. The ZR1 looks like a handful.

It is pretty awesome a mustang is compared to those two cars though. A really expensive one at that.

Wow ... I'm a Ford fanboy, but my oh my.

If money grew on trees, I'd have one of each.
lol, someone needs to do an antithesis video with a cobra II, a C3 and a porsche 924…you know, for mere mortals, and science 😬

I can't stand the sound of that Corvette.

The 911 GT3 RS, I'd probably swap that for the better sounding GT4 RS.

The GTD........................I just wish they had got some weight out of it. Having said that, out of all of these, the GTD would be my pick.

My application for a GTD got denied by Ford. Having said that I feel like they did me a favor. All those carbon panels just to end up at 4,400 lbs....it's like they didn't even try to reduce weight. To pile on, a dash that you can have in a $40K eco boost Mustang is a glaring and blatant bean counter ripoff.

@Rated R what you said, plus the price. It's just over priced. $250k, maybe.

It's surprising less weight wasn't a goal at a $300,000 price point.

Vette had the least amount of downforce, if Vette gets that dialed in........watch out it will be substantially faster. Yea shocked the GTD was ~4400pounds.
That 5.5 liter flat plane crank engine is incredible. Makes 670 HP naturally aspirated and the dyno showed the ZR1 version is underrated.

The dash thing is a universal truth with top trim variants of ho-hum sports cars. Always has been, and probably always will be.

Each one of the cars in this comparison is built upon a base platform that costs about 1/4 to 1/10 as much, and each one of them has nearly the exact same interior as that base "cheap" platform.

The S550 GT500 was ~ 4150lbs

And then look at that massive suspension they snuck in the back of the GTD

Bigger wheels, bigger brakes ,wider body front suspension is probably heavier as well. Hard to compare the DCT's based on Tremecs advertised weights because the GTD's include the differential, but it's probably heavier as well.

Yup, no way around the GTD’s weight until Ford develops a lighter platform.

Imagine if they ever do accomplish that how much more possibilities will open up

Sadly, I would take the Porsche over the other two. More refined and a lot easier to daily drive.

I love my GT500, but the GTD is a big car. Wide and heavy and not practical for daily driving. Plus, let's face it, its Ford quality for super car price.

The corvette is just ugly and just terrible to get in and out of. Interior is not roomy to me at all. I cannot even reach over and touch my lady with that huge ass curved center console.

It's crazy that we now live in a world where a heavily modified Mustang is being compared to the top-of-the-line corvette. Where are the Camaros and challengers? Ridiculous in my opinion. The corvette has never been in the same class as the Mustang.

Interesting as they called it the worst street car of the bunch.

Sales plummeted. Camaro sold only 31,000 in 2023. Mustang is on the same path, having only sold 36,000 so far this year, with only two months left.

But remember the Camaro was only a few tenths behind the Mustang, even with 110hp less HP and being almost $20,000 cheaper.
