Wait, is Lorne a woman?
First, there is no universally accepted definition. Second, a significant number or people believe that could change minute by minute, so useless information anyway. Third, she's already taken.

Of course, i should have clarified..."is Lorne a woman, today?"

That is my lovely wife Charlotte driving the GT350. She broke her hand about 5 weeks ago and was unable to get her seat time behind the wheel. I decided to let her drive the majority of the cruise. I have to say it's "almost" as enjoyable in the drivers seat as behind the wheel. Especially since she is a great manual transmission driver who knows how to rev the voodoo engine out.
The was a "Lauren Williams" who starred the soap opera Days of our Lives, but no relation to me.
I was actually named after this guy...

I have been seriously considering this. How long did it take? Did you ship the car to them? And how are the results?
A little over a month after they picked it up but a few months from when I signed up to do it (Whipple delays). I am not sure how far they go but I am probably 7-8 hours away? They came and picked it up (added cost) and brought it back with a nice enclosed 1 or 2 car trailer and cushy Shelby car covers (like a spa trip for your car). The guy (John) who picked it up also did the install and then brought it back to me. Not sure if that is the same for all the builds, but that was a cool touch. They have passion for the cars, and the car is great. I wanted an OEM+ look and I got that and more. I am still getting used to the power, but I am so glad I did it. This is my first sports car in 30 years and am not deep in the car culture, so I wanted to not worry about who was doing the work. Peace of mind. The twin turbo kits are on a different level and consider Motec even with the Whipple (I may add Motec one day), but I always had the Whipple sitting on top as what I wanted for the overall look. You can add different things you want done on top of the package, they can probably do it all. DM me if you have other questions.

Tonight I managed to slap in 3 out of the 4 SRP pedals. I went with the Grid pattern option. Overall, the install was pretty straightforward, except for one hiccup with the brake pedal.

For the top holes on the brake, I couldn’t get a drill in there cleanly, so I busted out the Dremel with a tungsten carbide bit I usually use for nitro engine mods. After marking the spots, I started with a 1/8” pilot hole and followed it up with a 5/32” — good to go after that.

The top-left bolt on the brake pedal didn’t leave enough room to get a nut on because it hit the arm the pedal’s mounted to. I’ll need to swap in a bolt that’s about 6mm shorter — I’ll source that soon and button it up.

With the right tools and some painter’s tape, this install can be done in about an hour. If you have easy access to the top two holes on the brake pedal, it’d honestly be more like a 25-minute job. Minus the throttle pedal, that is — I ran out of time tonight since I only had about an hour before dad duties kicked in.

Tomorrow I’ll knock out the throttle pedal and install the MMR heel-toe gizmo while I’m in there. I can heel-toe just fine without it, but for track days, it should give me a little edge. Plus, it’s switchable — one button turns it off, and it defaults back to OEM settings when you shut the car off. Figured why not.

Here are a few pics of what I got done on the TreeFiddyAre.
Have a great week, everyone

Nice looking pedal set. I’ve been looking at a few different sets but I’ve seen a few posts on the site stating that the brake pedal can be a real pain in the ass. Sounds like this one wasn’t too bad?

Also dig the Shelby hoodie on the shifter

Funny enough, a somewhat local dealer that I’ve talked to a few times called me about a 2018 Oxford White with blue stripes, one owner 350 they just got in. 2,700 miles on it and the window sticker shows it was a customer ordered car from factory. Might try to go give it a look if I get a chance this week, it’s priced a little higher than I’ve seen 2018’s go for but it also has a lot less miles and is a one owner car. So it’s probably priced pretty fairly with all that factored in. White isn’t my first choice but given it’s a one owner car, it’s probably worth doing some homework on.

Edit: also, I’m hoping one of my trips down to ATL we can connect and say hello in person. My schedule has been jammed my last few trips down

My 2019 has 57,000 miles…. You’re buying a virgin… go for it. Color doesn’t matter, it’s the feel and the exhaust that will hook you!
