Anyone pick up a C8 Z06 recently?

Yeah I was totally underwhelmed by the Z51. A colleague has one and I took it for a short spin a while ago. I agree on the steering feel also.

I'll have to pop over and test drive a Z06. I hope it will feel different but you never know until you try.

You could see if you could find a Z06 with the Z07 package for even more fun.

Funny you mention that… I spent $8K on a blower without telling her. Felt guilty until she started talking about a river cruise in Europe!

I would hope the Z06 is better than the Z51 but I don’t know anyone with the Z06 to compare the 2. If you’re able to drive one, would be curious to hear your thoughts on it.

Buddy has a ZO6, I liked it. Not more then my 500 though, he as well. Got to drive a Ctsv blackwing manual, take that over the ZO6 every day. If any of you get a chance drive a blackwing. Amazing car. If I was after a new two door I’d take the ZO6 vert over just about everything else though. Not much in that price range that compares. Beautiful car.

One of the top corvette dealers in the country. People were camping outside for days just to get in line for an allocation.

I agree. I thought it was just me. It sounds like a European sports car. Not a bad thing if one is into European cars but I like the muscle car sound of V8s (Mustangs, Camaros, Dodge etc.)...

LOL! I put a lift and new wheels on a truck once and didn't tell my wife. She got into it right after and commented that it seemed harder to climb up into the cab. I told her that as she aged her legs shrink. About a week later she stumbled upon my factory wheels in my storage shed and put 2 and 2 together. I was busted and now I have courtesy convos before I do anything car wise.

Can anybody compare the difficulty factor getting in and out of a C8 Z06 vs a HP Dark Horse?

You can just kinda fall in and I can still get out of the DH fairly well, even with Recaros.
