There are a ton of them on dealership lots now, most listed at below MSRP. Would be kind of neat to have another FPC V8 vehicle. Main issue for me is a lack of back seat; my daughter wouldn't be able to ride in it for a number of years. Tempting though. Have to figure out how to start socializing the idea with my wife....

Figure the wife part out after. I'm currently trying the pre socialize method. And it's set me back another 6 months I'm sure of it.v

Where are you seeing Z06 under MSRP? Are they the base version?

I don't think I'd buy one without the Z07 package personally. And I know those are not under MSRP.

There are lots at dealerships in Ontario, Canada that I have seen. Not the Z06 stuff , just the 6.2 motor stuff below MSRP think

I will preface this by saying that Chevrolet options packages give me a headache. But from what I can gather there is a range of 1LT, 2LT, 3LT cars and some of them have the "ultimate z06" package which includes some Z07 components. Those are also under MSRP.

Yeah, I thought Mustang packages were bad until I saw GM's packages. Almost as bad as Porsche.

I have not driven a C8 Z06, but I can tell you the C8 Z51 steering is a bit numb. Don’t get near as much steering feedback as a GT350/R IMO. The C8’s are fast and they perform really well.

That said, I found myself lacking excitement behind the wheel. It didn’t make me giggle like a Shelby (or even my GT) does. I would like to drive the C8 Z06 to see if that would change my perspective, but the only dealer that would let me test drive one (a dealer that I have a 25+ year relationship with) doesn’t have any on the floor that isn’t someone’s custom order.

If you can drive one first, I would highly recommend doing so. The C8 has a totally different feel than a Shelby and even the prior generation Vette’s. A C7 Grand Sport is pretty much Corvette perfection to me (I know most others will say C6 Z06, I prefer the C7 GS). My $0.02

I like my C6 and C7 Z51. My C6 had magneride but my C7 Z51 didn't, I wish it would have. My Mach 1 does of course. Magneride should be oem for all vehicles.

Yeah I was totally underwhelmed by the Z51. A colleague has one and I took it for a short spin a while ago. I agree on the steering feel also.

I'll have to pop over and test drive a Z06. I hope it will feel different but you never know until you try.

Z06 versions of all trim levels (1LZ, 2LZ, 3LZ) can be had $12K under sticker without trying too hard. My boss is trying to buy a ZR1 and even at $40K over sticker he can’t get one, so probably going to do a 3LZ Z06 as a “consolation prize” for this year until ZR1 production catches up.
