Il be waiting!
On a side note, one of the main things i see for my own self as a issue with this catback is its non active exhaust. I think for my use case id rather active over any other options, however im still curious how this fares against my buddys catless borla s types
I've heard the same car same setup but with borla stypes. And I can confidently say the thermal is 6x better riding in the car the drone sounded like a dying whale/didn't sound good inside the cabin. Outside the car is was okish but it got super raspy and there just wasn't any tone. The reason for that is the helmholtz. The borla and other brands use hpipes or xpipes. The thermal uses a helmholtz (which is exactly what you want in an exhaust). It cuts the rasp and gives it depth and tone. Also I have a 17. So unless I modified a 18+ active exhaust (still limited to either fully closed or fully open which is just an expensive cutout) or got a valved system like valvetronic (also fully open or closed with no in-between like 18+ active exhaust allows for. I went for this options as the active options aren't very good. If I had an 18+ I would try the catless exhaust out with a stock setup. Catless into resonator and stock active exhaust and maybe mess around with some resonators, or swapping the resonator for a helmholtz of some kind. I've had a lot of exhausts on my old mustangs, just to name a few, mbrp street and race, borla ataks and stype, Corsa extreme, awe touring, sr performance and thermal r&d. Going forward I'll only be purchasing from thermal for my exhaust needs (I'm a welder/fabricator and the thermal also has the highest build quality of the exhausts) it's deeper than awe but awe is also a great choice (if it's can be had for 500$ or less not the 1300$ they want new). Thermal system is easily worth 1500$-2000 but they only charge around 780 shipped for 15-17 not sure about 18+ but they are making money and not overcharging. Sure they could sell it for double what they do now and people would buy it but they sell it for a decent profit not 500% profit like other greedy companies.

Yea i feel you.
The 18+ is 1200 or 1300, but still great price
I had the touring catback before, it was too quiet for me, so i swapped the resonator to an x pipe, i still want a little more from it so im considering a s type or possibly corsa sports but i havent heard the sports catless in person yet

Lesson to learn here is a little quieter is a better than a little louder

also exhaust systems aren't cheap so be prepared to spend some $ finding what you want

An opinion is an opinion, but any one with decent taste understands coyotes dont have the most amazing sound. Now, comparitively between coyotes, then you can start to get some more accurate answers but its also hard becuase some like the higher pitch raspy coyote nature, some prefer a more oldschool v8 deep growl which a coyote doesnt really get, especially with loud volume
No I totally agree with you, where the coyote owners start to lose me (and I may just be old, 42) is when they start to accelerate hard and it sounds like a fart can more than a V8, which I believe the OP is probably in the latter.

yep, besides the build quality which is a fact (and not very good on borla since it's common for them to break internally and rattle) anything relating to exhaust sound is opinion
