I’ll definitely do some further looking into itHas anyone dynoed the Magnaflow/Borla/Jones resonator vs a regular X pipe?
Would suck to put headers on and then lose power by quieting it back down.
It’s interesting how some mid pipe and muffler setups can make a car really quiet while others can be really loud. Which magnaflow X pipe? And I’m assuming the headers are catless? Do you have a video youd be able to send me?I have stainless power headers with a magnaflow resonated x pipe and Steeda axleback Not sure the part #. It’s still loud as hell, my wife can hear me come home from down the street with me driving normally. Ran it with just headers and h pipe to Steeda mufflers for awhile and I didn’t like it. Didn’t sound good at all. Everybody always says that headers have diminishing returns but I didn’t care. Car feels fast as hell and with E85 and an M6 I can outpace other cars fairly easily. It’s about what’s worth it to you. Would I do it on a daily? Probably not but a fun car that gets driven every once in awhile? Absolutely. I also do all my work myself so that saves me a ton of install $$$
Doesn't always sound better. I currently have MBRP LTH, highflow cats, and the mbrp street mufflers. Sounds like chewbacca trying to take a massive shit.First:

Ok…. Explain how it make sense that one with a performance car modifies the exhaust so it’s more free flowing, louder, and sounds better - but then wants to add back components to choke it and make it quieter to near stock levels….
LMAO
Waste of time and $$$ - either go all in or just leave the exhaust stock if a modified exhaust bothers your ears… and if you’re worried about it bothering other people’s ears, drive by them faster so they won’t hear you as long.
Go headers and go loud.
My both my 94 and 93 Mustang 5.0’s have LT’s with aftermarket 2.5” exhaust - they both are loud at idle, loud when driving through the gears or when cruising, and very loud at WOT…. It sounds great and I could care less who thinks otherwise. All of my 5.0 Mustangs have always been loud…. IMO, if it’s too loud when you’re next to me on a road or highway, use your go pedal or brake pedal to distance yourself….
Plus for those in HOA developments or communities - you know where you’re living, you know your bylaws, you know your bitchy neighbors, so if you want loud and have to stuff potatoes or pool noodles into your exhaust tails before you start it every morning, who’s fault is that…
That sounds perfect to me. At 800whp, I'm assuming catless.Doesn't always sound better. I currently have MBRP LTH, highflow cats, and the mbrp street mufflers. Sounds like chewbacca trying to take a massive shit.
This car makes over 800rwhp with a magnaflow 12469 and 2 rear mufflers and sounds way better.
I'm adding the 12469 this week and then heading to the dyno. See how much it drops, if anything. The 12469 is a 3" perforated xpipe inside. Currently makes around 900

Any idea which rear mufflers they're running?
ThanksHe said
Stainless works long tube headers, no cats, 3” Magnaflow muffler, 3” Stainless Works exhaust with 3” Stainless Works Legend mufflers
Yea, peak numbers are nice but area under the curve is where it's at. IE average HPIt’s A LOT for a few grand…
It was the magnaflow Tru-X resonated x pipe. Only 2.5” I think? The headers are catted, didn’t want to deal with too terrible a smell. I’d love to send a video but I’m actually attempting to track down a misfire issue I’m having right now otherwise I would. It’s interesting how some mid pipe and muffler setups can make a car really quiet while others can be really loud.
