The ECM is capable of running full E85. Without flipping the Flex switch, it will throw a code.

I have not tried running E85 on a non flex tune, but I see nothing in the tune that would prevent the computer from proper fueling. Fueling is based on MAF and the widebands. The Short term trims would be in a range that will throw a code.

As long as it is not throwing a code and commanded lambda equals measured everything is fine. Personally I wouldn't go any higher than E30 without a flex or dedicated E85 tune.

Basically the dedicated E85 tune just commands a richer A/F ratio.

and faster ramp in timing too I've been told. For EB or '18+ V8 (because DI) it's my understanding the fuel pump is only capable of pushing enough fuel to support E30.

If that were the case none of the tune companies would write Flex or E85 race tunes without also installing a larger fuel pump.

That is not the case.

Stock coyote pumps are more than capable to support 700 hp. It's the density of the E85 that requires a pump upgrade. E85 moocho less dense than straight gas.

Sorry I was imprecise. The E85/flex uses the Port-Injection side (low pressure) to make up the needed difference. The DI side running flat-out can't keep up with much past E30 needs.
