been there, done thatā¦aināt as great as it sounds for anything other than CnC![]()
yea yea, I see āstreetableā twice in your theory, and every car from the 405 on Street Outlaws is āstreetableā too![]()
Streetable, power brakes, A/C, stereo, front and back seats, can drive from Ky to Fl.Streetableā¦. Has brake lights, turn signals, and seat belts. Ohh, and grooved tires.
I am not sure how many they would sell, but an all aluminum big block with a DCT would be the most American thing they could build. Holy ballz would that be awesome.I think it will be either be a KIng Cobra using a big block with coyote technology or some variant of the Boss with a big block in it using the coyote technology.
Either way, it will have the DCT in it as its now a proven trans for the power level and manuals are just not as sellable to the majority.
For one, the GTD engine uses a dry sump oil system, so it wouldn't simply use that combination of parts.Could they use the GTD engine since I'm assuming it's already certified for emissions etc? It has 'over 800hp'.
but we donāt need to study part numbersā¦thatās what we have YOU forIf you study parts numbers, you see that the GTD engine is essentially the '20-'22 GT500 engine with minor changesā¦
Well, I probably got put on a naughty list for life with Ford for digging up the GTD weight so I'm treading lightly with what I'm seeing from the parts side...but we donāt need to study part numbersā¦thatās what we have YOU for![]()
At this point I feel like they can get about anything to pass emissions, they will of course water it down enough.Would a (hopped up) Godzilla powered car ever pass emissions etc?
I am really hoping this is it and it has the BOSS name plate. With around 650-700 NA Hp and the DCT or manual option. I realize that is probably a pipe dream as most companies are going forced induction now. Cheaper route to achieve HP.Make a 7.0 so they can use the 429 name
Word from round the campfire was ~560 to 580 hp from a naturally aspirated 5.2L, cross plane crank engine with the option to choose either a manual or DCT. There is a project name or code associated with it but I'm waiting for somebody else to post it.With around 650-700 NA Hp and the DCT or manual option.
I could be wrong about this but I don't think Ford would want to give such a power increase all at once.At this point I feel like they can get about anything to pass emissions, they will of course water it down enough.

Are you referring to the Legend moniker that's being touted or the Boss nameplate they trademarked again in January?Word from round the campfire was ~560 to 580 hp from a naturally aspirated 5.2L, cross plane crank engine with the option to choose either a manual or DCT.
