Iād like to see this too. If you look at Whippleās website, itās been updated and shows the gen6 now for 2015+ cars. It still lists the 132mm oval throttle body and not the 112mm round throttle body that VMP is using on the gen6. I wonder if there is really an advantage of one over the other?crossing my fingers that they do a video where all they swap is the headunit and go from gen 5 to gen 6 whipple
But keep the boost and TB the same if possible
What formula are you using and what data point? lb air/min?Based on my mass air consumption on data logging, I was at around 780whp on the stock engine, Gen5 3.0 Whipple stage2 on 93 octane. My tune is a little spicier than most, as @engineermike can attest.
According to the video that VMP put out the round tb is supposed to be easier to tune.Iād like to see this too. That's the $64,000 question. It has been postulated that not much is different at all.Whats the difference between my gen 5 whipple stage 2 with the gen 6 rotor pack and the gen 6 stage 2?
I know they said that, but Iām not sure if I believe it. Iām not aware of any tuning issues on the 132mm that Whipple has been using for years.According to the video that VMP put out the round tb is supposed to be easier to tune.
