Gen 6 whipple injector upgrade

I have the stock stg 1 injectors.
Picked up a set of gt500 55lb injectors so I can run some E30 with a smaller pulley 3.75.

Im reading the gt500 injectors won't work due to spray pattern.

Do the gt500 injectors have a weird pattern vs a standard injector?

Why would a fic1300 or other top brand work?

Honestly just trying to see if its a sales tactic or?

I’m running these exact injectors on my gen5 Whipple and I know of others as well. What’s nice is you can copy the injector data over from the stock gt500 tune and it works well. I’m at 18 psi boost (3” pulley) on e85.

That said, Greg Banish says these aren’t good injectors and are poorly matched from the supplier.

What size injectors come with the stage 1? There may not even really be a need to upgrade.

Stg 1 uses the stock f150 coyote injectors.

I've read several of your posts and appreciate the real world feedback.

I've been going back and forth with whipple on this subject and they are very responsive but either im missing the point or they are.

I simply asked why the gt500 injectors wouldn't work vs their stg 2 injectors.

The response was spray pattern and physical size.

I know some injectors have a dual beam pattern and who knows, maybe the gt500 injectors do but the few websites I've read said they are standard.

I know the stock 5.0 injectors have a standard spray pattern.

I know the fic and IDs have a standard spray pattern.

So is the issue really just the physical size?

Just trying to inderstand.

The other part that has me thinking is some 2024 f150s had the gen 5 whipple and used stock injectors for stg 1. So unless there is a difference with gen 6 outside of rotor design, im struggle to understand it.

Looks like my stock 2024 f150Xl 5.0 injectors are 55lbs as well .

I’d be surprised if they used stock injectors in any kit.

The trinity injectors were mid length and the predator are long length. The gen5 Whipple has two sets of holes and will accept either. It would be strange if gen6 isn’t that way.

A couple vendors did confirm gt500 55lb injectors will and do work.
There is also a part number for f150 Ford performance 55lb injectors.

they will work great whipple supply them in most kits nowadays

Whipple's Stage 2 kits for the S650 use the 2020-2022 GT500 injectors. They work very well and will work on Gen 3 cars. Most tuners are very familiar with tuning them too so you shouldn't have any issues getting them tuned for your setup.
