Except the resulting AI. It must be so or the transhumanists will be without a false god to first create, then to worship.
Cut some slack. They're no worse than the rogue dinosaurs who built the asteroid tractor device to make way for their superior replacements. Where would be without those pioneers?

My god, this board is such a terrifying reminder of how uninformed most of us Mustang/American muscle enthusiasts are. The ridiculously uninformed conspiracy theories people come up with...
You can thank me later.

Do share with us your marginally informed/plausible conspiracy theories. So that we might learn.
Are you crazy? What you don't know can't hurt you!

I didn't even see anything you posted in this thread, so it's telling that you assume I'm talking about you... I probably am lol.

My only conspiracy theory is: climate change is real, and there are things humans need to do to address it... Although while I think EVs are ultimately need to be part of the equation, they are being pushed to an unreasonable extent right now so that we can sidestep more difficult discussions about our lifestyles and make people buy expensive new appliances on the way.

People in general are just obsessed with consumption for the sake of consumption, and wasteful af. As just one example, 46% of the food America produces ends up in the trash. That's just fucking nuts, especially when you consider that 40% of the nation is obese. So we eat twice as much as we should, and still throw away half our food... but I'll stop myself before I go too long on my soapbox.

Fixed it for you.

Climate change is real, and there is nothing we as humans can do to change it. unless we do stupid stuff like place a space curtain, carbon scrubbers, you name it.

Since we are changing the climate, what is the climate supposed to be? Today? 100 years ago? 1000 years ago? 10,000 years ago?

The climate on this rock has been changing since day 1 and will continue to change till it gets swallowed up by the sun.

Yes, the climate changes naturally over time, but humans have been causing disproportionate changes via carbon emissions lately (and we can fix that). I guarantee you do not understand this matter better than 97% of scientists in the field.

The Co2 PPm has been as high as 6000, today it is 430 or so. Which is right?

Why don't carbon concentrations correspond with temp in ice samples?

As just one example, 46% of the food America produces ends up in the trash.
Depending on the metric used nearly 100% of food ends up someplace. Most of mine ends up in my septic tank then the biomass ends up hauled to the local sewer treatment facility every 5-8 years.
What boggles my mind is the amount of food and beverages packaging waste being produced most recently with the massive shift to shrink-flation.
This is a good place to shift some attention off of tailpipe emission and focus on the massive unregulated packaging waste created.
Just one man’s opinion…

There it is. There's that tin foil hat I was talking about... So 97% of climate scientists work for EV battery manufacturers, meanwhile there's no financial incentive to deny man made global warming, right? Mmmkay

Honestly the science behind emissions-motivated global warming is really not that difficult to understand. It's nothing like theoretical physics and understanding Hawking radiation and shit. I recommend you read up on some of the citations and facts on that link I gave you and see for yourself if your intuition kicks in.

I agree with packaging. If you have daughters you know. Try to get Barbie out of her package.

Now get your mind out of the gutter.

there was an article just a couple days ago where they figured nearly 30% of food ends up trashed. USA was on the thick end of the spectrum.

We should be looking to solve REAL problems, not imagined ones. Inefficient distribution of food is not an expensive or complicated one, really, all things considered.

But gov't isn't about solving productive problems. It's about pretending to solve contrived problems where the goals, let alone results are of questionable validity.

Tin foil hat? Follow the money. Every scientist who shows facts that contradict MMCC gets black balled and ridiculed.

You must have been raised by captain planet and the brain washing from the schools. I'm old enough to remember the consensus was we were heading into another ice age. That didn't happen. Then NYC was supposed to be under water by 2020, didn't happen.

Start thinking
