My splitter is huge.so
Require to
remove it. I made my airdam attached to the froont bumper because i can remove the bumper jus pulling 2 pins. Otherwise if airdam is on splitter u don't need to remove the bumper.
I have the speeditalia fast release system for the splitter I cam remove
It in 10 seconds. :)
Hope that makes sense

Makes a lot of sense. @RandomTask showed me your fast release system (he hasn’t installed it just yet) and it looks pretty trick!

I’d be interested in this as well.

I’ve seen @Flyhalf system and appreciate the thought put into it.

I've been bad at participating in here lately but the other day I finally tried ceratec for the first time. My car was bbq ticking bad while cruising around 2krpm. Not super loud, but it was there and annoying, lol. Half a bottle of ceratec was instant delete on that noise. Still no idea why it works, but whatever lol

Been toying with Mic'ing up my car for the past week or so. Lots of learnings.

I settled for a very simple set up using a Zoom H1n and dual lav mics. I'll test tomorrow at Sonoma Raceway

Even without the tick, it sure quietens them down a little.

For whatever reason (I hear oil spec might be a factor) the euros don’t seem to suffer from the tick, but I decided to run it from year three onwards as a long term wear protection measure.

My wash routine is always the same - wash, start the car, pull it down the drive, lift the hood, then dry under the hood shuts / battery cover etc whilst the engine is running, then drive off.

I wasn’t expecting anything, and wasn’t looking for a noise benefit, but after adding the stuff, it did seem to quieten it down and smooth it out a little - I was quite surprised.

As as side note, my car is a 20 and was originally on the 20w oil. At the last service we switched it to the 30w oil and if I can trust the invoice, Ford U.K. (or at least my dealer) is currently using Shell.

I had Xpel Prime XR-Plus Ceramic tint installed: 20% on the sides and back and 70% on the windshield.

How much of a bottle do you use? That is interesting euro oils don't exhibit the tick. Maybe something to do with different fuel additives as well?

I’m not sure fuel would have an influence, but maybe there’s some truth in the oil ?

I’m not an oil guy but there’re is a thread currently running on here where people are buying euro spec oil - I haven’t looked what the differences are, but I wonder if it’s enough to control the tick a little better ?

Ref the additive - first time I used one bottle (300ml) which is about half the recommended dose for the gen 3’s oil capacity. The recommended dose is 300ml in 5 litres (they charge for 9.5 litres at my service).

My service was only on Tuesday and my bottle turned up from Amazon this Thursday. I will likely dose it tomorrow, I added it mid drive last time so it got time to mix well before shutting the engine down - I was thinking about using half a bottle, but will probably just dump the full lot in again, A) for ease and B) so I don’t have another half used bottle of car chemical hanging around in the garage … lol
