Remember that on the Roush website under directions for these fender vents are temples to overlay so you get the cuts right the first time…you download them and print.
You are correct. They print requires an A2 size paper, which most homeowners, including me, don't have.

So what I did was to use Window's Snipping Tool to get the template off their website. I snipped the left 1/2 of the Driver template pasting the image into Photoshop Elements. I repeated for the right 1/2 of the driver side. Then I repeated for the passenger side template. I cropped off each image's excess white area so the halves would each print on legal paper at a 1:1 scale.

After printing I taped the segments together for each side respectively. And walaw, I have full size templates for each side.

Caution: When printing, CONFIRM the printed output is correct using the 100mm 1:1 scale that Roush provided. Expand or shrink output when printing if/as necessary. Even better, match the template against the part to ensure all features align with the template.

If anyone has a way to process PSD files and legal paper, I''ll be glad to share the files.

Speaking of fender vents….has anyone noticed the small vertical air vent on the front of the fender well? It’s connected to the front lower side fake vents! I’am thinking you could drill smaller holes in that fake grid to funnel air to wheels/brakes

I’ll have to go take a look at mine but I thought some of them were punched out from factory?

I think to be certain, first hand knowledge is needed. The photos are not clear enough.
I have a pair….with out the backing….used wreck …the backing will be easy to make or just used cross braces to hold in place with VHS tape on face….they come with very shiny black finish.

Is this what you are speaking of?

I learned that some Mustangs (with wider tires, PP packages) have the holes blocked off. On mine, I have the P/N part that has a few holes open into the wheel well. The different part numbers probably have to do with fuel efficiency/air flow requirements relative to aero packages.

Yes…..now in the front of the wheelwell is a narrow slot for air to escape for cooling brakes?

It would be a stretch to be for cooling brakes, but there indeed could be incidental impact. Most likely the open/closed decision is based aero CoF to improve fuel mileage. It is amazing how such small features can make a big difference. I was part of a vehicle development team (not Ford) where it was determined after simulation to omit a hood feature because of the large negative MPG impact that small feature presented.

And Roush have confirmed that the honeycomb is not detachable. Looks like a masking job if I went with them. Leave the honeycomb gloss black and paint the rest body colour.

Yes, it would be easier for sure if the honeycomb was separate from the bezel, but I think it is doable to work with the Roush design, using a little technique and patience. (Which I'll need as I've settled on painting the bezel Ingot Silver like the car, and something darker for the honeycomb.)

Fortunately Roush has a good transition line between the bezel and the honeycomb which I can use to cleanly trim the vinyl automotive layout tape. You'll want a good X-acto knife or similar to cut the tape accurately and cleanly. Here's a link to one I've been very pleased with.

Okay, you all. I'm out on this project for now.

I've been very disappointed dealing with American Muscle. Delivery dates kept slipping, and then I was emailed me twice after the expected ETA date asking how I like my part (which I didn't receive yet as originally promised). When questioned, the blame was shifted to their contracted reviews company. And when speaking about delays, I was informed Roush was the holdup, not American Muscle, and that the part would ship 7/22. Instead of notification of a shipment today, 7/22, I received a cancellation notice from American Muscle.

CJ Pony Parts on the other hand has been listing the part is in stock as of late, ready to ship. So I don't know what to believe. I was hoping to share throughout the installation to help you all, but I'm hitting pause after the issues I encountered.

Generally I've had good, even great experiences with American Muscle. My confidence in them has been shaken for sure, especially when the inventory status doesn't specifically state in-stock, though competitors do list in stock.

I'm not saying don't order this item from American Muscle. Just be aware that CJ Pony Parts, or direct purchase through Roush are options.

I haven’t bought anything from AM in years because they suck. CJPP is who I buy the most from. It could be a drop ship item but CJPP is pretty good about noting that it ships directly from the manufacturer
