you are welcome Peter i will start on r/h one prob sunday if i get this one finished
it may be a bit awkward to put the back part on with that gizmo in the way
i will check the other side tomorrow to make sure no other wires are there
i lt my endoscope to someone and cant remember who it would have helped

ok Peter here is rough cut i hooked the wire back while cutting it with a wire tie
i cut it using a dremel on 35k rpm
i left about 1/16" to clean up you will see the outline of template is not straight at all
first i drilled the 5 holes using a 1/16 bit later i will use 5/16 as instructed
i would not use a 4" cutoff wheel if you have wires behind like mine
im a bit handicapped at moment had to use one hand my left one which made it a bit harder
i will post link to dremel whls i used

Good catch on the potential cutting issue, Dave. You saved not only yourself, but potentially several others from having a bad day, cutting into those components. Great that you posted pics as well to help. Kudos to you.

thankyou Nathan yes lucky i pulled the loom back it was up against the fender and even tho using dremel it has a shallow cut it would have cut into it for sure

today i will clean up edges redrill holes to 5/16 " and trial fit this one

Wild. I wonder what that component is for? Almost looks to have a speaker integrated i to it or something. Do you have any of the cross-traffic alerting systems on the car or anything that might require a sensor up front like that?

good point i wouldnt know what one looked like tho sadly its got CB on the loom its all factory i do know that much
i hasten to add it was a pain to work around believe me im still in middle of it lol

may have changed in 2018 hopefully for you and others
it is a permanent fixture on mine with a bracket on body just for it

Did you have to move the bracket or is there enough clearance.
