Been short on details of my build to date, but Canadian car has been with the Shelby Mod shop since October...

Car is to get badging this week not 2 weeks ago like i was told... I was also looking to personalized the car by mod shop after KR was completed.

Long story short.... The driving season is very short north of 60 degrees, and I'm now frustrated... First world problem and a lack of patience.

If someone on the forum is interested in the car, DM me. I will be looking into potentially listing it on BaT this week.

Pic of car when taking delivery below. It currently has 7436 km (4620mi), and full PPF/Ceramic coating since new.

Price? I know what I'm into it for, but no idea what the current market value or its worth is to someone else might be.

Happy to chat to anyone interested in knowing more.

Thanks - Andy

Andy, you sent yours in for KR and now will be selling it? I understand your frustrations, I am just tying to wrap my head around what you are saying.

Yes it’s sitting somewhere between almost a KR and a KR. Then there’s a few CF add ons, fenders, side skirts, swing, wickers, and lower bezels. Opted for red seat accents and changing other interior white stripes with The same Katzkin leather to match. Spare set of OEM wheels, car cover, owners kit, pics from assembly plant, original window sticker, and maintenance records…. It can all go if someones interested…. But its not a fire sale, I’m just falling out of love…

Maybe after you drive it you will fall back in love?
Agreed. Car frustration is real.

I would hold onto it for another season and see how it is when you get it back and are able to drive it.

99% of the time, car upgrades will not add to the value of the car as much as you put into it. I think it would be a waste to spend all the money to have it upgraded just to turn around and sell the car.

Unless you really have your eyes set on another sports car or want to move to a car that is more friendly to varying climates (thinking something all-wheel drive).

Good to see you again, Andy but I am so sorry about the problems with SAI.

But its not a fire sale, I’m just falling out of love…
That made me very sad, amigo but I understand the frustration. That said, I hope you keep her.

Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and woke up with this vast knowledge on thermodynamics.
Too funny, John!

Ain't that the truth...

Not to throw more fuel on the OP's fire, but I'm much further south here in MN and we only realistically have six months of fun car season. Maybe, that is. This summer we're doing daily monsoons instead of severe drought, so the fun cars and bikes all sit motionless even more than normal. It's aggravating. There are moments where I want to sell them all.

Andy, maybe the fire will rekindle. I'd love to have your car, but the reality is it would probably sit more than my lowly GT...

Hey Andy, sorry to hear that you are thinking of selling. thats terrible that your car has been at DA for that long. I was actually wondering how your car was coming along. I am sure you would love the car after the mods are completed and you get to drive it, but I also get what you are saying about the short season. You wouldn't have any issues selling it with only 14 KR’s scheduled for Canada. Go with your gut.

How SA stays in business is beyond me. They take your car, then keep it forever, and take all your money along with it. In this example, Andy is missing out on a whole year's of driving because SA isn't getting the product out the door. I'd be angry too. You can blame supply chain or whatever, but at the end of the day, this kind of stuff shouldn't be happening.

Andy, the car is special. When SA finally gets off their ass and finishes the car, I think you should give it another opportunity to get back into it. However, if this is just a money thing (like maybe cover the cost of the GTD), then that's another story.

The KR would be a nice thing to have when it's all said and done. All I'm saying is you might want to wait until the car is done before you pull the trigger.

I’d agree with this sentiment for sure.

When I finally reached the ā€œsalesā€ department a couple of years ago to ask about sending them an existing car to have them do one of their conversion packages the fellow I spoke with spent the entire time telling me why I didn’t want to do it. Time, money, logistics and so on. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing but I took him at his word and dismissed the idea.

Given the opportunity for a GTD, this would be a necessity! I will have to take delivery of the KR before any potential transfer, but I live in the shadow of my grandfather and would honor any deal I entered post delivery...

I’m sure a KR would at least bring its own value to bear at auction since it’s such a limited run. But, the more mods you do, the less valuable it becomes as people don’t want cars that were modded to someone else’s taste. A car like the KR would be more valuable as it comes from the factory and then from SA.

Iā€˜m sorry I cannot remember the fellow’s name. As I recall I just hit the prompt for sales and took pot luck.
