It's very easy to do, in my opinion. Take out the seat delete and install the seat and seat hardware and you are good to go. Just be aware that you will need everything from the donor car, from the seat belts to the brackets and bolts. That said, any flavor mustang seats of the same model (S550) will fit.Hey guys, I currently own a lowly 21GT...but I'm looking to upgrade to a GT500. I found one, but it has the rear seat delete. How hard is it to put the seat back in? Will any Mustang rear seat work to swap out and add it back in?
Is it the CFTP with the factory seat delete or a base GT500 where someone pulled the seats? If it’s the base 500, the previous owner may have left some of the hardware that Jaime was talking about, depending if they used the Ford seat delete or some aftermarket kit.Hey guys, I currently own a lowly 21GT...but I'm looking to upgrade to a GT500. Might also be helpful to track down install instructions from a rear seat delete product, and then follow the steps in reverse. I know there were a few specific steps, best done in sequence, when I installed a Ford (Racing) Performance rear seat delete in my 07 GT500 and it was nice to have specific instructions.
Here you go....That's what I was afraid of...
I think John is correct. I’m pretty sure the rear seat delete option from production is different than just ordering a kit after the fact.If it's a factory rear seat delete, it could be a more involved undertaking. The seat belt mounting holes aren't punched and the wiring/airbag provisions and body control module programming might also be affected.
