The new Ford Performance rear seat delete kit I ordered finally delivered, so I thought I would share with you what comes in the kit.

This new kit comes with a new rear parcel tray. I find it interesting that they went through the bother to include a parcel tray with one less rear seatbelt attachment. I mean, we are taking out the rear seats, and all the restraints, so why do they feel the need to keep one of them? I know the CFTP comes with this same parcel tray, I just don't understand why they don't delete both of them.....

I find the inclusion of "SVT Coupe" on the label interesting.

The delete itself appears to be the same panel as previously sold.

From what I can tell, they no longer include replacement hardware to plug the holes from the hardware removed (I will just re-install the existing hardware). Also, they switched from a plastic push pin style piece at the center bottom position, and now include a riv-nut to be installed which uses a bolt instead.

To all the CFTP owners, does your car have a push pin on the center floor hole, or a bolt?

I like to disassemble things.
The S550 GT500 and Mach1 use the rivnut and bolt, a change from the GT350R which used the plastic pushpin.

Are you suggesting for a child seat that is strapped into the front passenger seat?

Even the 2020 CFTP GT500? Curious to know if they switch to this for 2021, or if has been this way, even in 2020?

Would you trust a child seat sitting in the back on the floor pan ? I sure as heck wouldn't. That is some kind of crazy. OTOH, Ford may have to have the hook up to meet federal safety regs.

I read it in the owners supplement. It is the anchor for a child seat in the front seat. I’ll have to pull the manual and look it up.

The 20's I have seen have been this way.

$787 pre tax is what I paid.
The box is such an unusual size, that shipping is usually crazy. What was the out the door price to include shipping and tax?

To all the CFTP owners, does your car have a push pin on the center floor hole, or a bolt?
Torx head bolt
