The new Ford Performance rear seat delete kit I ordered finally delivered, so I thought I would share with you what comes in the kit.
This new kit comes with a new rear parcel tray. I find it interesting that they went through the bother to include a parcel tray with one less rear seatbelt attachment. I mean, we are taking out the rear seats, and all the restraints, so why do they feel the need to keep one of them? I know the CFTP comes with this same parcel tray, I just don't understand why they don't delete both of them.....
I find the inclusion of "SVT Coupe" on the label interesting.
The delete itself appears to be the same panel as previously sold.
From what I can tell, they no longer include replacement hardware to plug the holes from the hardware removed (I will just re-install the existing hardware). Also, they switched from a plastic push pin style piece at the center bottom position, and now include a riv-nut to be installed which uses a bolt instead.
To all the CFTP owners, does your car have a push pin on the center floor hole, or a bolt?
The directions are intended to be downloaded, here's the link:
