Fired up the beast after a few months hibernation…almost on its birthday…unbelievable weather up here in the great white north!
There were no unusual noises…
I am going to have to correct you on your statement. All these cars do it make "unusual noises".... glorious unusual noises that we cannot hear anywhere else!
Congrats on getting it out and fired up! We are getting steady rain here in WI and the salt is starting to wash away. It's been in the 50's and 60's which is absolutely crazy weather.
Could we possibly be looking at an early spring?????

Redline hood struts (carbon sleeves to cover the logos), JLD coolant reservoir cover, and black locking lugs - day 1 installs! Black Gorilla lug nuts are a massive improvement and honestly how these cars should have come from factory - seems small but massive visual impact!

Winter has been very mild in Minnesota this year. A few days in the 60's next week. Getting anxious, but I'll wait until we get some good rain to clear up the roads. Who knows, we could still get snow.

Did a little detail work today. Fellas, if your wife is one of the many out there that's purchased one of those Cricut machines that makes little stickers and arts and crafts, turns out you can use it to decorate your racecar pretty easily. My neighbor's wife across the street had one so had her show me the process and she let me make these end plate decals that were inspired by the S550 GT4 mustang. Luckily 3M makes a vinyl that is a pretty good match in the sunlight. Due the metallic nature of the paint you have to compare the color on the side of the car rather than the top to get a better idea of how well it blends.

I just watched a YouTube tutorial ans then brought some 3M 2080 vinyl and applied it using transfer tape. The really clear transfer tape from Cricut is super sticky though so that can make it a bit tougher.

Got my SVE R350 wheels and brand new OEM Michelin SSs installed today along with new TPMS sensors (not really sure they were needed but I got them anyway). Plus an oil change about 2k before my next interval for good measure.

HUGE thanks to @Dharri21 for the rear wheels. Without him I'd still be at the mercy of LMR's supplier for a full set.

I’m copying you. The black is much better, even to the titaniums I have. Great subtle mod.

I love my Gorilla Nuts. So hefty and strong. With a great hand feel.

Stopped by to see my buddy Kris today who just upgraded his setup for his GT500 and picked up the last of the off-season upgrades for the car. Install was pretty easy, although it would have been even easier if I didn't put the wrong buckle in the wrong place at first. Did hurt a little bit to have to trim the plastics on the ground level, but it's part of playing racecar and no one ever goes into the backseat anyway.
