The C8 is still Fugly.
Thank you! I am sorry I do not like the way it looks, looks like a Ferrari wanna be. Looks are subjective I know. The cars performance is impressive no doubt but that's about it. I hear from other owners that it is "boring" compared to the Mach 1. I would at least go for the Higher model.

So I went in the opposite direction on this. Been wanting another Vette since I sold an older Z06, so placed a C8 on order with mid-level options and waited, and waited…then I ran across a new Mach 1 and dropped my C8 order like a rock and bought my 22 FJG. Haven’t regretted that decision once and as you said in the beginning, so much easier on entry and exit in the Mach. No bad choice between the two but glad I stayed Ford Blue!

What is ‘boring’ about 3366 weight, 3.0 seconds 0-60, 11.2 1/4, and top over 190?
C8 does not look any of the super cars IMHO.
Like my 2018 GT, but for a good deals would have a C8

I‘m in the camp who doesn’t like the “Dank Horse”, can’t understand the price increase, and the ADM is just nuts!
I’d keep the Mach but if you don’t, the C8 is a way better decision than the 24 Mustangs IMO.

As a kid who grew up with Lamborghini Countach posters on the wall, the C8 has an appeal to me...the mid-engine sports car made attainable. When I bought my Mach 1, I needed back seats to some degree but that is now waning considerably as I have a kid with her own car now. If something happened to my Mach 1, I think a C8 would be in my future. It certainly wouldn't be a DH...way too much $ for really no improvement in my eyes...and a lot of drawbacks on the exterior/interior. A Boss or GT500 with an interior overhaul might be worth a look. I can't see them keeping these much-maligned screens through the full gen...the Bronco shows they could have done it right...they stole the steering wheel from it.

Not going to lie, if the C8 came with a stick shift, I'd likely be on their forums instead of here lol.
THIS! I love my Mach 1 but manual was a priority for me.

when chevy said no clutch I made my choice. If they dropped a "grand sport" with a surprise manual

IM ALL IN.

@kellyreno I sold/traded my Z06 for a Mustang GT and won't be back to the vette platform anytime soon. The Stang in any configuration (M1,GT, Shelby) is a more well rounded car and getting in and out of it, as well as dealing with various road conditions is just more well suited for life. I'm sure the vette has some better stuff going on.... just not enough.

If you want it, get it. If you don't then don't.

I personally would buy something cool like the FP700, but that is just me. This era's Lightning. For $45k.

If I didn't have kids, I would have already ordered it.
You get it dude…I love the FP700….local dealer had one….sold quick

I like the idea of the C8 but like the S650 I hate the looks.

I'd keep the Mach and if I needed an extra thrill I'd add Forced Induction and improve the suspension/tires.

I've got a C6 and it is a track rat and garage queen. Too hard for me to get in and out of it. If you think the S550 has rattles.......

You can get one today no problem, at least in Houston. Order the truck, then order the package. The only requirement is you have either Ford Performance, or a certified ASE tech install the package in order to get the warranty.

I don't need any more temptation. I've already been to the dealer twice asking about a reg cab. They said I could put money down and they would make it happen. Those trucks are sick. I'd go red in the spirt of 2nd Gen Lightning.

Alright, back to OP's question. LOL

I have been looking for a reg cab short bed, 5.5ft. With the coyote. Can't configure it on the web, haven't thought of asking a dealer.

That's why I have my eyes on the C7 GS. Prices are still way too high and the interest rate make it a no deal for now. I know how the OP feels about getting the itch. Hell, I am still scratching my head why I got rid of the one I had. Money sometimes makes you do some stupid shit.

I will have to say it felt weird sitting in one after driving the Mach 1. I forgot had tight the inside really was.

XL or XLT? I read that there might be issues getting one or another, maybe that is the issue.

Only reason I went to the dealer was because I wanted it as a dealer installed option. If I could internet buy and never step into a dealer, I would!

Online the only way to get a reg cab is with the 8 ft bed. Last time I looked anyway.

I think I'm heading to a dealer tomorrow.
